All dealerships are like that. I asked Rawal motors if i bring my own part but they refused & insisted on getting part from their shop. A simple fan belt for corolla 2010 costs 12000 at dealership. A radiator pipe plastic joint (installed near battery) got cracked, they charged 4200 for it with 2000 labor cost. Outside it is available for 1200 to 1500rs. So better buy genuine parts from outside.

Thanks for detailed suggestions white much appreciated. The thing is I'm planning to research and buy such products but the excitement and willingness to keep the car clean regularly fades as the time passes.

If you aim that after 5 years your car should look the same then the willingness in your mind will not let it fade.

Ofcourse. Excise punjab has all the schedule of charges for al types of vehicles listed.

I think there was a rumor (not sure if already a law) that if the car is transferred within 3 months of invoice, the new buyer has to pay WHtax again along with some fbr tax.

I am not 100% sure about this information as i said that this may or may not be in effect so take it with a grain of salt.

If a car was invoiced 30 days ago, the new owner/buyer will have to pay 100k (Filer) WHtax + 1% fbr tax + transfer fee

General rule of industry is; if price increased 30-45 days before deivery when you have made full payment, no change. If no full payment was made and price increased, then new price will prevail.

October delivery? Bro yahan August ki fwd nahi mil rahi aur kia walay mu say keh rahay oct end or nov start. If your car is the same tau umeed kum he rakhayn of timely delivery.

I'm abit daft when it comes to cars etc so please excuse if the question seems silly.. ive driven my new alpha almost 500 km and for some reason the accumulated average I'm getting is 7.5 km/ltr. I restarted the accumulated number after filling the tank the second time

Secondly, would you guys suggest Civic or elantra? Non crossover suv

Elantra as Civic x is going to be discontinue soon and elantra will be same for 3 4 years

I am not too sure about Elantra but if Honda follows its policy for Civic in going along with international introduction of XI generation then we may see the new shape coming in by SEP/OCT next year.However Atlas Honda has weird policies and they are beginning to suffer and unless they get their act together they would be in serious trouble.Point is they must bring in the new Civic to have something new in the market after their predicted debacle with VI generation City.

I am planning to get a new car, i have shortlisted Sportage Alpha and Elantra. I need a car that can comfortably accommodate 5 people. My father is in favor of Elantra as it is fully loaded + looks nice and was recently launched in Pakistan, but i am in favor of Alpha (Mostly Because we have a Corolla/Yaris and i want a change) Plus the extra cabin space and the Utility it provides. I have heard many people complain that rear seats of Elantra are cramped (as compared to Corolla/Civic) and cannot comfortably accommodate 3 Adults? And the only thing which I don’t like about Alpha is the absence of TC/VSC but i can manage without that. And one more question i wanted to ask was about the Fuel Average and Maintenance Costs of Both cars ( I would appreciate if owners could provide me with some feedback). My Drive will be mostly in City + 2-3 Yearly Trips to Murree/Naran etc + Motorway Travel (every 2-3 weeks)

Boi get the Alpha. Suv crossover main entry lain. Elantra is a significantly older model already (2015) and a time when the civic and corolla change hone walay hon and elantra will stay the same for next 3-4 years its a big disadvantage.

Where did you book? I also have October delivery of Alpha from KIA Metropolis, contacted them for balance payment and they said they will take it in October 15 days before delivery. Also they said 15-20 days delay expected.
