yes, but the issue is how the part is designed and applied. e.g. Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Mercedes Benz etc. design their equipment with a proven service life and their parts provide that "quality and life too"
in my experience with Kia/Hyundai - they design stuff so it can sell off the showroom and then ask customer to buy new car if something goes bad after a few years - they treat their cars like a bread toaster.
when they were using mitsubishi stepshift automatics in the past - they didnt sell any internal part of it and asked customer to buy new transmission, while you could buy all the individual parts from mitsubishi parts counter. They also have some incredibly stupid faults in their new cars. they cannot get a windscreen glass to seal to the body (even if they were on gun point). Even loosey/shit manufacturers like General Motors has that sorted out.
