Fazalwahab, you said that you would share information about Kia denying warranty? Any update on those issues of Kia Sportage?

If it is true it should be shared with all proofs. Its not for me rather for many people out there, thats a proper way so if any dealership is involved they should be brought to question or people who got repaired cars should contact the company. Whats so wrong in asking for pics or proof? Its not just my question. Yes accidents do happen and they are reported but with all proofs and pics. This is strange so many cars were damaged but no one bothered to make pics or vdos.

Recently one Sportage got fire in engine bay and it was discussed with pics and videos multiple times here as well as on other forums even kia company commented on that issue. So What’s so wrong in asking for pics now?

Those pics and videos of burnt out Sportage were shared by the vehicle own owner and I shared it in my blog by asking his permission. Infact Pakwheel editorial reached out to him and he was planning to visit lahore for on camera interview but then because of this virus , he could not come from Multan.

If the denter of the workshop himself is requesting for not sharing the pictures, then I am bound not to share. Keep in mind, the Sportage were repaired away from public eye and in the back end of the garage.

Someone has doubt about my info. Let's clear his doubts first. I will discuss the subject matter in Picanto thread.

Well , I share stuff when owners share it with me and allow me to share with public.

Here is the Picanto problem. It was not the QC issue from factory. Source of problem was dealer. Owners kept on running around dealer for help but nothing. Owner found someone via personal contact and got it fixed.

Warranty issues should be straight forward. You face issue.. go to dealer and problem should be investigated and fixed under warranty as long it is part of warranty coverage. But if owner has to request and use his contacts to get the problem resolved, then I m sorry.

There was an issue with Sportage LH side view mirror retractable function not working and Dealer declined warranty. I will get in contact with owner and give you guys an update on it.

He did what he could, he warned people to check their car before taking delivery and refuse if it's a repaired car. This is quite common and happens all across the world, people generally buying a new car never suspect anything hence get played, my uncle was once delivered a car with a repaired bonnet, he refused delivery, a week later, they got a new bonnet.
So this isn't new information, plus the form that you sign at the time of delivery, it says that you accept car on as is basis, from here onwards, company isn't responsible for cosmetic issues

@fazalwahab11375 Brother I believe you had done the right thing. As is said: "Aqalmand k liay Ishara hi kafi hai", in the same way, as you have explained and guided, I think, it must be good enough for any sane and sensible potential buyer, k Sportage achi tarha chaan phattak k laini hai.

And I believe, aapka maqsad b itna tha, na k Kia ki repu ko nuqsaan pohanchana. Sometimes, Bharam b hotay hain and rakhnay partay hain, but kuj log samajh nai patay. Bhai Sb. B Samajh nai paa rahay.

When my ex-ride Passo got in to accident, I made a detailed thread here (it was my very first thread). Shared all the details and pics, but when everything settled and I sold it, I requested the thread b removed, k dusray banday k liay pareshani kyun banay? K harr banda kehta phiray k aapnay to accidented car khareed li hai, and other stuff, etc. (At the time of selling, I told the buyer each and everything, truly, even the minute details, told him about accident, and he was OK with everything)

And repaired, new car, must never be bought at the price of brand new, zero meter car (which never went in to accident, paint work etc.); however good it has been repaired, even better repaired / painted from the factory.

Repaired means repaired, and it already loses its market value, even before leaving showroom floors.

My point is that the person who is repairing these cars is also a partner in the crime. Yes he has to make his living but he knows that these are damaged cars and will be given to the owners after repair as perfect new cars. Ethically speaking he should have refused to repair them and told Kia guys to sort the matter on their own. But ethics and honesty always take the back seat in our society. Even if the pics are shared it will not do any harm to him but will certainly reveal the pathetic motives of that particular dealership or Kia Lucky Motors who intend to give damaged vehicles to the owners

7 units of Sportage got damage during transportation. Were seen under repair at a well known body shop/ denter at Jail road Lahore. Dealer sent it to denter for repair and it was done in discreet. Happened couple of weeks ago.

Fazal Bhai if something like this happens in the US, can that car dealer sell damaged units as new without informing the potential buyer?

this is pure ethics its not about how small issue is but it question credibility of company dealer you are investing your hard earned money for

Certainly the company is not responsible most likely the dealer but it does not mention which dealer. So one is left to question the credibility of all kia dealers in lahore?
Lastly the buyers will now feel bad and tensed about receiving delivery of the vehicles which are already delayed due to coronavirus outbreak and they have been waiting for months.

So what was a amicable solution to the scenario? The Said KIA dealer scraps the whole car? Or replace the bumper with new?

So if the said dealer is opting to repair and paint the damaged bumper making it just like new I believe no buyer should be worried about this small issue(unless pictures show some gruesome damage)

There are two types of transport trailers the older types while loading unloading used to damage scrape bumpers of cars back in it days and it was retouched it dealerships.

Yes one can question the ethics but in Pakistanis market a touched bumper means nothing.

If its a metal part then its a whole different story.
