So now that Tucson is coming in, they're bringing in a newer trim to keep buyers interested in Sportage. Now, Tucson base manual will be more expensive than Sportage base auto.
I guess KIA anticipated the launch of competitors such as Tucson down the line, so initially, they launched well specced variants to establish themselves in the market and not offer the cheapest product possible just for the sake of it. Now, they have no choice but to offer the best bang for buck.
