I would agree with you.This is a case of broken ball joint.I have seen a similar case once happening to a Suzuki Tehran right in front of me.The wheel collapsed sideways shattering the fender.

There is a reported case of Kia Sportage Engine failure. The reported engine was investigated and opened and metal shavings were found [ pictures attached ] . Some engine oil was also found on the air filter. A KIA dealership replaced engine and it was around a PKR- 1.2 Million warranty claim. Around 25000 kilometers on the odometer.

Some units of any car model malfunctions everywhere in the world, doesn't mean the all units will have same problem....Though should be thoroughly investigated independently and owner should be compensated if this is not his fault or in good faith even if it was due to his fault....

Secondly Big three mafia is still very strong here and they will go to any limits to give a bad name to new comers in the market especially when their sales are getting affected especially after the launch of Alpha...so chances of it being a setup cannot be excluded...

Go and check the exorbitant service charges for kia vehicles that the buyer just can't refuse, else he'll be told to say goodbye to his car's warranty. And hyundai needs no introduction after their "perfect" and "consumer oriented" tucson launch

well not exactly, existing 3 makers seem to be in the same boat, Nishat is giving bad name to Hyundai unfortunately....

As far as KiA is concerned, they are operating better then all above for now, hope they keep it the same way....As far as maintenance service charges are concerned, that is a separate debate and many factors come into play in that, those who can buy 5 mil car, they can afford 10-20k service charges as well...

Absolutely not.
One who buys a 5mil car, will not burn through 1000s of rupees monthly in the name of service. Not everyone is saith enough to spend the equivalent of an audi service expense on a third class korean vehicle.
Please stop spreading this false notion :"who ever can buy a 5mil car should burn their savings".
Plus picanto is only 2mil,and its periodic maintenance charges are the same or more than a civic

two questions for you:

Are you a KIA Sportage current owner?
Are you going to be a future owner?

If answer to either of above questions is no, then what is the point of you being here? If the answer is yes, sell tje car and be happy...

and are you really sure that an Audi's maintenance costs the same as Sportage?

Lastly please read again what you are saying... If someone is so concerned about his saving, he will buy a small car like mehran and be happy with it...so stop giving absurd comments to support your non sense theory....I currenty own Suzuki Ciaz manual and its periodic maintenance costs around 8-9k with oil change, so if i can afford that for a 2.3 mil car, i can surely afford 10-15k for a 5.5 mil car...

Nobody is arguing on the fact that everything should be priced nominal but that is not how things work in Pk, so better accept to live with it until things get better....

Kia can charge exorbitant amount of money in the name of service, beating brands like Audi and BMW. And customers should pay it and not complain.

Clearly you're the one who needs to learn a thing or two.
Nobody in their right mind pays Mercedes and BMW level charges for a 3rd tier Korean car. Nobody buys a Korean car to pay luxury service charges and wait months for imported parts to arrive leaving their vehicle parked unable to drive if a fault happens.

So if toyota start to say that this new corolla needs a rs 24,000/- oil change, customer should be thankful for getting reamed

. We have this example here in usa, zf 6 spd auto atf is expensive, Ford also used this same gearbox in their vehicles but had to formulate a cheaper atf (mercon sp) to satisfy customers (warna customer ne lohay ke jootay maarnay thay)

Reality remains reality, no one will pay premium price to service a dibba with kia/hyundai bagde, I can imagine for a stinger or a genesis but for a sportage or tucson???

Sportage average service cost around 28k (including oil,cabin,air filter, oil and labor charges) . Air filter alone is for Rs 8880.That's absurd pricing. There are lot people who have not opted for Sportage just because of this compulsory services like cleaning cat converter at 5000 kms ! ! Mind you there are separate labor charges for cat cleaning. Even honda , toyota and Suzuki are saints if we compare them to Kia on account of services and after sales.

They say the fuel quality is bad (which it is), but cat converter cleaning isn't needed at least till 40k kms even on JDMs. Only the Seth's can tell about the future they want for this car. Its been an year since it launched and they should have at least started to make local serviceable parts for it.
