As of suspension, I doubt this vehicle was on 50km/h and if even at 50, if you hit a deep pot hole or embankment or boulder , you can damage suspention. It surely hit the undercarriage really hard and even 40kmph is more than enough for suspention to break.

what kind of useless piece of trash are you using as a yardstick? 40 km/h hitting a pothole will not tear out the control arms, and hitting a curb not high enough to undo the bumper chin is also not going to tear out suspension members, unless the car had fixed suspension. (fixed = non-moving)

I also said.. it was not 50km/h speed. It seems much higher. It does not seems like a bang at 40 or 50.

I said " deep pot hole " or embankment or boulder .. I used OR.. Also a deep pothole can be a feet deep or more. I don't say the few inches deep. You can call it a deep pothole or deep "khadda" whatever

A 64km/hr moderate overlap takes out the entire front, takes out the whole suspention apart.

Hypothetically: What would happen if the disk brake jams in an AWD vehicle? Considering the fact that Nathiagali road has steep hills and brakes are used extensively. Chance of malfunction is rather high.

Well, I think brake fail and free fall movement. Again disk jam would not cause the tire moving backward unless the tire/ undercarriage hit something real hard at high speed that too downhill and with vehicle own weight increasing the impact . Maybe brake failed and the vehicle underbody hit some embankment causing being out of control.

Again not an expert on this.

if the brake jams - the car literally stops, doesnt matter if AWD or FWD, the micro hamster wheel in the engine room of this little cute vehicle is too anemic to pull its own pants up.

tell that to Jeep Wrangler owners or even old AWD subaru owners and they will laugh at you.

This picture looks like some bits n pieces were "never inspected" at final assembly and the car rolled out. One can see that the entire lower control arm has been ripped out which tore out the strut too. "haai kwaltee kaam sarr jee"

e.g. if a ball joint snapped - you will have seen a control arm intact, but you dont instead you see nothing of the lower carriage actually fastened which makes me believe the bolts actually backed and rattled out (seen that a few times)

And your yardstick was hilarious!!! - a cars suspension has capability to jounce, along with the wheel being round it can climb an enbankment too without tearing out such components. But If you think stuff should tear off then I would rather not want to know what sort of vehicular design you are dreaming of.

Please - for the love of whichever deity you worship - you are a mod on a Pakistan's biggest car forum. writing such outer space comments and peppering with IG style videos with splashes are not expected.

When we point out and pointed out issues/ QC in PKDM cars you have a notion that its same everywhere else even in your lone star TEXAS, now if someone else point out something different then the issue is the PKDM cars and quality and QC is bad as per you and SETH sahab to intervene . No worries , you are an EXPERT.

Same stuff happens here

Kia engines blow up like firecrackers everyday, some new kia sportages came with missing hoseclamps on the thermostat housings too.

Do I need to remind you of the entire fleets of Kia cadenzas with unglued windshields. (Apparently they cannot control the dispensing assembly to flow it right, even till today.

So far from the available evidence, doesn't look like the vehicle hit a pothole or boulder or embankment.

High probability of failure within the car. And being Kia we can't rule it out either.

Let's see what the final investigation says. But is anyone really hopeful of a transparent and impartial outcome?

They didn't do that with the engine going on fire.

Let's see. Maybe brother Abdul wahab will be able to bring out the actual confirmed report.

Anything is possible. Issue with the vehicle or something else.

I got contact information for the owner and will be calling him soon. I will update and will share his version of the incident. As of KIA, I dont think they will make any statement on this or any investigation.

Ball joint or suspension bolt malfunction eik trf but shattering of alloy is completely different thing in my opinion.
The driver must have hit a rock underneath at high speed.

They have removed all the safety features except airbags from alpha. Civic is better feature wise
