Kia can charge exorbitant amount of money in the name of service, beating brands like Audi and BMW. And customers should pay it and not complain.

Again it comes back to my question, how much is Audi's periodic maintenance costs for any of its SUV model? If the periodic maintenance of Audi SUV or BMW SUV costs around 30-35k then I will agree to your point.

Again the same questions as above....as far as it being 3rd tier Korean car, what can i say, people go leaps and bounds in their hatred for certain things but nobody thinks of it as a 3rd tier vehicle or company:

wait months for imported parts to arrive leaving their vehicle parked unable to drive if a fault happens.

KIA SPORTAGE Price increase coming anytime in coming weeks. Currently booking are for November/ December delivery . Rumor is as soon as KLM starts booking for January 2021, the new price will be announced.

LOL - JD power will give awards to Dogs who poop the least stinky, Have you owned a chevy equinox? - are you happy with having to replace the timing chains every 40,000 miles? (I personally send thank you notes to GM for making that engine as it makes me a lot of money)

or lets take a tahoe whose roof is usually leaking or even ships out from the factory with no A/C refrigerant in it??

actually that question i asked for Sportage parts, as the person mentioned that Sportage parts are not available here easily and people have to wait Months to get their car running again...

phone up a Kia dealer and ask if they have

the ac evap and its lines
the front fascia of the car
the engine wiring harness
the ISS rubber bushing
Brake discs

in stock and how long would it take to get them, these are all general repair parts,

below are the heavier parts.

inner axles
control arms (bushings are not sold by Kia)
struts
steering rack
engine mounts
rear control arms

ask them how long it would take to get them in Pakistan and if they would charge shipping to purchaser.

Please ease it down for me as i am not very technical when it comes to vehicles:

1. Kindly mention full name of the parts?
2. Also tell me after how long one needs to get those parts replaced in normal running, like daily usage for family.

I do not think that anyone would want to get most of those parts replaced unless car gets into major accident...

JD power is cash cow, its same as if honda in Pakistan starts paying pakwheels to award them something.

If you notice, JD power completely forgot about Toyota corolla and camry for sales and quality, while these two cars are the most seen on roads, you can even see 1996 corollas and camrys rolling on the road in legal condition too.

They also dont recommend RAV4 or highlander, which are selling like mangoes in summer - but forever.

That is correct but one thing is for sure that entry of these companies in Pakistan will ensure that existing companies will bring better models here but rest assured whichever model they will bring here, they will cut down most of the features and charge high prices in brand name as Govt. here is either sleeping or enjoying cash boxes

the parts names are the same the dealer knows them by.

ac evap and lines - (aey see ki cooling kaail aur uss ke pipe)

front fascia - nose frame of car jiss pe radiator, condenser, lighten aur bumper fit hain, ye replace hota hai agar gaari front se touch/lagg jai)

engine wiring harness - engine ki wiring

ISS bushing - EPS ki rod ki chaat rubber (they regularly go out in Kia/Hyundai)

Brake disc = tawaa

Brake pad = disc

some more stuff

headlamps, brake lamps, side mirrors, side mouldings, door handles (they break a lot on this car)

On this same thread, its claimed that they are selling the air filter for 8K PKR, HOLY SHITTTT, I know that some Kia have a carbon activated cartridge unit in the airduct to reduce emmissions (Good for years and years), but DAMN - 8K for a filter?? 50 dollars for an air filter??

Most of the parts are available as per inventory sheet I have from one dealer.. BUT the price is alot because its available only from dealers.

Just for reference, headlight is 190K for one. Taillight is 48K. Side view mirror is 44K. Hood is 73K.. muffler 62K, front muffler part is 42K, central portion 102K.

Alloy wheel 90K [ Single wheel ]
Windshield 85K.
Catalytic converter: 209K.

I have engaged a person to find out, - the "inventory" they have is not of "holding" but of "to be made available"

The real holding inventory they have is of tune up parts like filters, bulbs, lubes etc.

the reason features are cut is to reduce price of the car. A low volume vehicle cannot be sold cheap with all features. How is govt going to help in reducing price?

As per my dealer contact, they have have all maintenance parts for Sportage. For major body parts, they get it from KLM Karachi and not keeping full inventory but its available if needed l.
