You need to have logical thinking to understand this. God forbid if you break one of the headlights of your all new Sportage, you'll have to pay nearly 200 k for getting it replaced. (We are talking about one headlight only.) What kind of lights is the company putting in this vehicle? What kind of material are they using to produce these lights? I am stunned.

And, comparison with Audi is absurd because Audi has a class of its own. Kia is no way near Audi whether you like it or not.

Like I said you if you are throwing away money on first the vehicle and then the parts on the pretext that 'Since I can afford so I shall pay', then hats off to your thinking. You don't own a Rolls Royce brother and you are not Nawab of Bahawalpur here.

Now that seems absolute non-sense, if the post by Ali Faran Bhatti above, is believed to be true.

I think, there are 03 possibilities:

1. They want to extort max. money from their customers (considering their service charges)
2. They do not have confidence in their automobiles (that's why 03 months / 5,000 Kms, whichever comes first, instead of usual 06 months / 5,000 Kms)
3. Both of 1 & 2.

Have heard / read about 06 months / 5,000 Kms, whichever comes first, but 03 months / 5,000 Kms, whichever comes first, its absurd.

And what about a typical Seth (cunning) mentality, that charge (screw) them as much as possible so most may not opt for periodic maintenance so void of warrenty and they (seth) are free from any burden of engine failure or any warranty claim.

Someone on sportage FB page posted 10k maintenance charges of 33,000.
Multiply it with 4 (as you need to have maintenance after every 3 months).
More than 10k per month.
But if you don't follow rules, you void your warrenty.

Bundle of Thanks to ALLAH ALMIGHTY that I do not own any current, locally assembled, Kia vehicle, otherwise, its service charges would have broken my back financially.

Even FAW dealerships are far far better than KLM. Big 03 now seem saints to me.

My 13 years old vehicle (which might have been driven like a Khoota Rairha at times) seems thousand times better and solid than these cars, at least it does not require oil change at 03 months / 5,000 Kms, whichever comes first.

And yes as the other members are saying, they apparently want to reduce the engine failure claims with void warranty. KLM is all set to introduce a new dimension in the business practices of our beloved country.

There are tons and tons of Pakistani people I know who actually will do anything to keep up with appearances or impressing neighbors, relatives etc. - even if they have to live entirely off of credit.
