These seem like mere justifications for a purchase. Still it is his money and his decision, but an impartial look at this Alpha version tells that after being stripped off nearly everything of higher versions it is a mere XLi of its class.

everyone has a different opinion and its good to have it. for me I think it's a good deal in 4.4 m, resale ka issue ho ga sirf but resale ki intention nahi he mere so it's fine for me... and @mian.z.arain I have a Fortuner for my daily commute and not once have I encountered the TRC sign in the dash Alhumdullilah, so yes agar ap gaari aram see chalao tu TRC isn't an issue especially for FWD. secondly ap muje xli dene ki baat an kro ap muje kuch nahi dey sktay

The 2 main differences between Alpha and FWD are a panoramic sunroof and traction control (which will not be an issue for you if you are a good driver)

Yes brother. I am a good driver, that's why my car doesn't have VSC, TRC, ABS, airbags, etc. I am so good a driver that my car doesn't even have brakes. I have a giant hole below driver's seat. I just put my feet down when I need to stop, easy peasy.

Haha... In the movie 'The Disorderly Orderly' I remember Jerry Lewis tried to stop the ambulance using his feet with sheer friction because the brake pedal was broken.

Every day we notice many such 'good' drivers on the road specially those driving tractor trollies, pick up trucks carrying chicken, old jeeps pulling generators and construction mixers etc.

I used to own a pre FL Grande 2016 before going for Sportage FWD. I bought the sportage on 300k offer at that time and I still believe that it is the best value for money as far as the local cars are concerned. Yes we can have problems in any car as my Grande developed a steering rack problem (Very Rare though) out of no where and the dealership qouted me Rs 128k for its replacement. Atleast Honda Atlas entertains this problem but Toyota Indus simply refused.
Secondly KLM definitely needs to to improve their after sales services including availability of parts and that too on reasonable rates which are quite obnoxious at present. As of now I plan to follow their maintenance regime till 10k and after that I may skip a few services and leave rest to God Almighty.

I m amazed to see the negative attitude of people here. If someone has bought something and he has taken decision knowingly abt the options of any car then we should congratulate rather then making your point. May be he will share his experience in future about the need of TRC and VSC and may be he could be happy the way it is. Secondly and most importantly when buying cars why to go with resale value why not go with your heart. .

But if you insist that you have made the best buy money could get, then others like us shall share their views also. And you have to show patience to face the criticism. No one owns Atlas, Indus or Pak Suzuki here. We are all free to express our opinion, whether you like it or not.

I think buying a car is a very personal thing as you our the only judge of your budget, and the type of car one needs with variant/type/technicalities/accessories/colour etc.For instance personally I believe in only buying the top most variant.If one is spending 50 lacs one might as well spend another 5.Anything added which is not OEM i
looks fake and cheap and in some cases creates warranty issues.So guys I am for Sportage AWD all the way!!!!!

Everyone's buys a car according to his/her requirements and budget. It's a good thing that we are finally getting options in Pakistan - its better that pros and cons of vehicles are discussed rather than people being ridiculed for their buying preferences.

Gentlemen, my cousin is looking to book a Sportage and had a few queries, would someone who has a Sportage or has booked one, kindly share their experience to answer the queries:

1) Is currently a good time to book the car, considering 2-months delivery estimate, and the new year (2021) approaching?
2) Feedback on the color to choose for DHA Karachi/Dusty environment?
3) Honest experience regarding regular car maintenance, is it horrendously expensive (compared to a Civic 1.8 Oriel)?
4) AWD variant worth the extra money or FWD is sufficient for (mostly) city driving?
5) Does the dealership/company offer price locking on partial payment booking? I know Honda/Toyota do not, KIA does?
