The product itself is not bad. Both variants have all the features of a modern car and seem great for single people and couples without kids, the car is sporty and trendy. One thing I do wish they could have done was to offer the dual tone paint jobs available internationally, they really bring out the trendiness in Stonic.
That said, and given the price tag, it is obvious this is not a car for the masses. Perhaps KIA is aware of this themselves, I don't know how the financial feasibility of the capital investment on this works for them. This car will have a very niche market and it won't be a runaway success like Sportage. It is simply another product in their line up and it feels like KIA is going for variety. This isn't a car for families with kids (hardly any boot space) and I don't think investor mafia will jump at it either. Families will still prefer Yaris/City/Changan/Saga on a budget and on a bigger budget, 1.6 Altis. And it is also hard to look past the fact that 3.4-3.5 million get you the Honda BRV with 7 seats as well.
