I dont know how else to describe it honestly, it seems like it comes from the trunk, whenever the car goes through speed breakers or bumps on the road, like something is loose. Maybe ill take it to the dealership next..

KIA STONIC** My Petrol engine Sounds like a diesel engine, WHY???

Aoa, yr main stonic ko start krta hun aur 3,4 km baad chalany ke ek sound ati hai from the engine jo like diesel engine jaisay hoti hai , remember jab ap purani prado ko start krtay thay aur khar, khar, khar awaaz ati thi wohi wali. Aur AC chalany se awaaz increase hojati.

Moreover, main break ko press krkay aur gear ko D pe shift krta hun aur break pressed he hota hai aur jab Accelerate krta hun toh 1 rpm se upar jatay he sound ati hai belt ke area se but kia dealership waalon ne kaha your belt is fine.

Hi Planning on a Buying KIA Stonic, any thing to keep in mind? my budget is around 5.8 Million, and looking for a new car, coming from Corolla 2010 Altis 1.8 Top of line. Need reviews from owners, how is it? drive comfort? heard it has compromising leg space for rear passengers.

Leg space would be compromised compared to a Corolla since you're stepping down from a C-Segment car to a smaller B-Segment car. It would be smaller in most aspects including space and performance.

Its a very comfortable and well equipped car. leg space is subjective. its perfectly fine for people with normal heights. boot space is reasonable. engine is smooth and so is the ride. milage is around 13-14 KMPL in the city and better on longer run.

it loaded with nice features and definitely an upgrade in terms of overall experience as compared to 2010 corolla. ride is smooth and comfortable. seats are very good too.

you will surely enjoy the new car IN SHA ALLAH.

Hello everyone,

I've recently booked the 2025 Kia Stonic in black, with delivery expected around late June. Any tips or suggestions for someone going through this process for the first time, and even after delivery.

Here are some of my queries:

Delivery Timeline: How accurate are the estimated delivery dates? Has anyone managed to get theirs earlier than expected, and how?

Engine Knock Issues: I’ve come across some posts about engine knocking. How frequently should high-octane fuel be used, and are there other preventive measures?

Parts Availability: Sales staff mentioned that spare parts are widely available. Is that the case? Can we rely on outside vendors, or is it mostly dealership only?

Tires: Heard the tires are now BG Luxo Plus instead of Michelin. Any experience with them? Is the performance acceptable in terms of grip and mileage, or should I consider a switch? If yes, which tires are a good replacement?

Gear Lag: Any proven ways to minimize the sluggish response in lower gears? Would using a different engine oil or some other adjustment help?

Accessories (ISB/Lahore): Where’s the best place to get basic add-ons like floor mats, mud flaps, etc.? Are third-party vendors better, or do dealerships offer reasonable options?

Interior: Has anyone customized the yellow inside? I’m considering changing it up, would love to see if anybody has

Dealership Experience: Any dealerships known for poor service or shady practices that I should avoid?

On a side note, why does the resale drop despite people paying a premium at the time of booking? Is it just perception or something deeper?

1. Mine was delivered before time. But this is when it was highly priced and not many buyers. Use their chatbot; it is pretty accurate if it still works

2. I never experienced it and never used HOBC.

3. Parts are usually made available as required, but are super duper expensive. Even more so than Honda and Toyota.

5. Nopes, one of the reasons, that in spite of more horses it is actually slower than a swift (bloombig did a video on it).

6. I got the mats from Daraz/ Haseen (Rubber mats easy to clean), mud flaps are pretty useless for modern cars. You get ultra-thin carpet mats from the dealership which are next to useless; i keep them under the rubber mats. Most things you can get from daraz incl. sun screens, key covers etc.

7. Get it wrapped or hydro dipped (carbographics) or just leave the white protective tape on. I left the white protective stuff on.

8. Got mine from Bara-Kahu dealership in ISD. Pretty decent folk. But like all dealerships will try to oversell service stuff. Just stick to what it says in the warranty book.

9. Because people bought this for nearly 6 million and lucky dropped the ball on them. No one trusts the brand. Plus the car was a failure in Korea and was discontinued there. It is made available in very few markets and where it sells in numbers, it has a turbo engine not the lethargic 1.4 we get.

Please get it ppf on day one since its black. Never had any knocking issue. getting fuel from reputed good pumps in islamabad. there is no gear lag and it has an exceptionally comfortable seats and ride quality and miles ahead of local swift. you can get mats and other accessories from saddar car decor market as well.
also it would be better if you can trade in your bg luxo on day one and switch to yokohama. it would be best in long term. initially bg luxo work well as well in initial 1-2 years. parts are available no issues. i found the price of normal replacement parts (filters, brake pads etc) to be comparable with toyota/honda/elantra. better to get it insured to cover expensive and exlusive parts like lights etc. i like the yellow inserts alot since they match the seats as well and go with the interior grey. i find its resale to be quite strong since if you dont consider it as small suv and align it in the hatch category, its the best hatch on the market at the moment.

one thing is guaranteed that cannot be fixed. it has substantial gear lag in start. That's a manufacturing thing and is not an issue but an issue to be accepted when it's bought. It's way slower than swift but its way more premium too.

I cant agree more with you. Besides When idle or even when accelerating on low gears, my car makes a khar khar sound as if it's a diesel engine. First owner has driven it for 36000 km in just 9 months. Mechanic is saying that it's because of fuel but I'm using a fuel with 95RON in kia stonic. So should I use engine flush before next oil change? And what could be the possible cause of this problem?
