Kindly Suggest Engine Oil for Santro Prime

Hello experts i got Hyundai Santro Prime - EFI that i mostly use on CNG and rarely on Petrol.
It is 69000 KM driven and Engine is in great condition.

Can you please suggest the best engine oil for my car for best Fuel Average and Engine Life?

Change interval 3.5K

Sir, yes you can buy it from good reputed pumps or shops.

here are the prices/4L bottle for 10w40 oil

If you feel these are expensive, then buy ZIC-M 15w-40 which is Rs. 1840/4L with same change interval.

Bro PSO is selling one which they call "CNG PLUS" what is that? Previously i used that when i bought the car

Sorry for dumb questions as i am a total noob in all this.
Some oil are coming labelled as "CNG" while some are "Non Cng" what's the difference?

at the end which is better? "PSO CNG PLUS" or "ZIC-M 15w-40"? as both have same price

Sir, the fuel quality in Pak. is not good enough to run the mineral oils upto 5K.

If bad fuel quality is suspected, the minimum service interval in any service manual you find is given 5k km, even for mineral oil.

Anyways, please define "bad fuel". If you mean leaded fuel, then that is very rare even in Pakistan. If our fuel was leaded, then you wouldn't have JDM's knocking all over the place.

If you mean "full of junk", the fuel filter takes care of that. There is no point whatsoever in changing oil earlier than even the severe schedule.

Sir I can give example of milk or medicine, only.
The pure cow milk has 87.8% Water, and rest 12.2% proteins, Fats, Fatty acids, Carbs, etc.
But in Pak. the water % is more than 90% and plus other impurities.

One tablet of Disprene should be 50gm of Asprene. But in pak. we have 10~20gm or even less in actual.

Similarly, we don’t have the fuel which should be technically pure with its perfect ingredients. There is always mixing of impurities in it which help people to be richer and on otherside it significantly reduces the efficiencies of fuel consuming machines (engines).

Milk is a very broad term - you didn't specify Deenu doodh wala or Olper's whole

Anyways, petrol is being discussed here. You haven't posed any petrol analysis done from a recogninzed lab. Then again neither have I, but the burden of proof falls onto you in this case.

I have been able to achieve 18 kml on my car on this bad petrol (PSO) - this was on a car which can't give more than 11-12 according to the people on these forums. On the same petrol, I can accelerate at as low as 1200 RPM on a Cultus, without lugging or knocking. Both these cars have covered ~280k and ~320k km respectively on local fuel, with oil changes at 5000 km for both cars.

If you follow Xulfiqar's posts, he changed the oil on his Accord at 5k-7k km in Karachi's conditions. He also said in a forum that fuel quality is a problem in GDI engines; no local car here uses GDI except the latest Accord.

Differentiating them as CNF & Petrol is just an attraction to pull money from consumer's.
Havoline has 20w-50 one for CNF & one for Petrol. The difference between them is of Grade. Its SG for Petrol and SM for CNG. I am not sure about PSO CNG & Petrol oils.

Go for ZIC-M 15w-40. It would be perfect for your ride.

Thanks. What about Coolant Which coolant do you suggest for Santro? Please suggest one that can be found on PSO/Shell if possible and What will be its estimated price and how many months it can serve before the need of refill?
