As you enter the lake area, towards left is "parking area" for the trucks and straight down is the "way" to the lake. Don't be fooled by my words parking area and way. During the last two years, our beloved rulers have not spent a single paisa to develop and/or revive this vital trade route. What ever has been done to keep the knot between two parts of KKH, it is done by the hardworking Pakistani's. We have a lot of potential but commit mistake just on a single day and then suffer hardships for years.... we don't know how to use the "people power", the power of vote.
Guys working on the Attabad lake had the same opinion about zero interest by the officials to revive the route but when I asked why "rental raja" is coming here this week to inaugurate a tunnel that will connect broken links of KKH, answer was "China nay bohat dunda deya hoa tha".
So enjoy this picture, this is a strategic route used for centuries, the "silk route". In the modern age see "centuries old"
