Knock/Creak sound from rear body of Corolla 1988

There's a slight creak/knock sound somewhere from the rear. It only appears when the car moves, even slightly. Yesterday I took it to a workshop, they took the seats out and sat in the back while I drove. They couldn't it figure out. They guessed it's from shocks so we got it greased and got a pipe inserted at the ends of the spring to cover it up in case it was causing the sound. They were wrong. They then took out the cardboard in the rear and the trunk cover and the sound was still there.

It seems like it's coming somewhere from the body and not from underneath. Is there a place I can get it checked? Maybe a Toyota showroom, do they conduct such diagnostics?

What about the condition of rear control arm bushes?
Does the trunk is tightly fit?

I'm not sure about that. Is it something under the car? The trunk's fit seemed okay to me.

Is the noise continuous or only come one time when car moves?

only when the car moves and it's almost continuous. Doesn't come when the car is started and stationary too.

You are sure it's coming from rear?
There can be anything causing this noise.
Even an exhaust hitting the side.
Most of the times these type of noise is caused by drums or handbrakes, if from rear. And In case of front there can be many reasons.

I'm sure it's from the rear. We did the exhaust hitting test and that was a different kind of noise.

I think its related to the body.
Not sure if relevant but our office civic 14 was having similar creak noise from rear... Did same checks as you... Later found out that 2 body parts that are supposed to be spot welded had opened and were making sound on rubbing while moving. It was then welded and sound went away..... Now i m not sure which exact panels\parts were they... Take out the seats, trunk and find.... Its gonna be hard i know.
