Equator closeby?. I felt like i was in the Cotswolds!.

Why is Kodai calm?. NO autorickshaws!.BANNED. NO plastic cups/bags too. If one has to get around taxis are the only way to go.

We had a great buffet lunch at the Carlton. I strongly recommend for anyone planning to visit.The view from the restaurant is stunning. I think i deleted the pic by mistake.

Plenty of tourist traps too!.However, Kodai is known for it's homemade chocolate candy and i must say it is good stuff. I'm stil munching on some of it.

kodaikanal- Guna caves. The photo shows the entrance to a huge cavern underneath full of stalactites. Unfortunately, photography is not permitted. I was allowed to take this pic before depositing phonecam at entrance to the caves. Pity. It was beautiful. Sometimes the authorities can be overly cautious, methinks.

Kodai scenery. He was very nice till i decided to take a pic of him. I got the cold shoulder after that.He came riding in the back of that little yellow pickup and was waiting outside for his master while he was in the store.

Kodai scenery. My one and only sighting of the grandmother of all Indian cars, the Ambassador, in kodaikanal. Spotted one very well maintained classic model by chance, in someone's yard.
