It was a cool windy night of Friday, February 27th. Shortly after midnight around 1: 30 AM, 21 Adventurous KTG Members from all corners of Karachi gathered in Jauhar to board a Coaster on a long awaited journey to Gorakh Hill Station.
The brave souls of KTG gathered with their belongings, supplies and cheery mood punctually at 1: 30 AM and after all the tallying of supplies had been completed the painstaking job of loading the luggage and supplies onto the roof of the Coaster began which was managed primarily by the young and strong braves of KTG. Khalid Jamil had climbed on to the roof of the Coaster along with Farhan and Badar Bashir who together, very systematically placed the supplies and luggage in an orderly fashion for the long drive ahead with help from below lead by Bilal Siddiqui, Taimour Tahir; our team heads and travel planners for this journey, amongst other members who lent a hand in passing items to the top.
By 2:30 am we were all loaded up and ready to depart. We said our Dua -e- Safar and began the journey forward. We had planned on a pickup of one of our beloved members Danish from Jomshoro, but instead he traveled to Karachi to be with us for the entire trip right from the start.
It had been a long working day for many on Friday and so none had really had a chance to sleep or rest prior to beginning the journey, and yet with anxiety and excitement no one was in the mood to sleep through this trip. Music blasted from one end of the coaster to the next, we joked and sang while making some requests for songs throughout the night until we reached somewhere near Jomshoro where we stopped for 15 minute break for Fajar Salah.
After stretching our legs we boarded the Coaster again and headed in the direction of Sehvan where we stopped for breakfast.

This had to be by far one of the most memorable trips ever experienced by our group. Unexpected, and practically unprepared for what was to be the Coldest and Wettest Adventure ever. Although the group members are well travelled and experienced on preparing for the unexpected in their own right, this came as a total surprise to us all due to a weather system that had suddenly moved in plummeting temperatures well below zero at Gorakh where the temperature dipped to nearly -8 degrees Celsius late at night. Combined with the wind-chill it's unclear just how cold it was that night up on the Hill of Gorakh.
