Finally in this light rain we covered the last stretch of forest and came on a flat ground. It was green all around, with snow covered peaks, partly covered in clouds visible across the green valley. I did it finally, I had seen these peaks in the pictures. I forgot all my tiredness. My guide was far ahead, but I walked slowly, absorbing the sheer beauty all around in my heart and soul.

Change in landscape from that dark forest to this beautiful open wilderness is so sudden that you feel if you have suddenly stepped in to a wonderland.

I crossed the stream by a thin log bridge, stood close to this clear blue water for few minutes, touched the water, it was chilling, icy cold.

Initially it was light drizzling but when we reached the banda, it turned in to heavy rain with thunders. We took tea, mean while rain again turned to drizzling in half an hour. Weather started clearing and I was free to move around and take some pictures.

I tried and uploaded one image in the morning. Now its not working, nothing happens when I click on add images in the upload window. perhaps it works only when net is super fast. Even in "manage attachments" section, only Basic Uploader works?.....

Here is a Google Earth image of Jaz Banda.

The place mark is Chimrain cottage. According to Google Earth, cottage is situated at the height of 10315 feet. Valley and path seen in left of the image takes you to Katora Lake. On the right in the image is a different valley, and this is a beautiful valley, has two wonderful waterfalls. I could not explore it which I regret. Next time inshallah.

To explore and enjoy this area of Jaz Banda and surroundings, you must stay here for 3-4 days. Staying just one night and a day is not enough. I intend to stay a week at least next time.
