Hey everyone. New to the car culture. Honestly dont know much. I had a question in mind and if i could get an experts answer. Why do people not swap the civic turbos engine in their old cars instead of the k series. I mean it does come in manual internationally and surely in must be cheaper and better condition than ks and with a few bolt ons can easily tpuch 300bhp. So why only the k? I mean i get that the feeling of vtec and 9k rpm is like none other but surely some people may only want the straight line speed right?

Honda K series engines have support. They are easier to swap, easier to diagnose, easier to make more power out of and sound better than the garbage that is the L15 turbo. People tend to hype up this engine too much. You can make power out of any 1.4-1.6 engine that came with a turbo with a good tune and supporting mods.

Well it's a good option. It just require a little more work to start as It's has direct port injection system.
Though wouldn't be that much of a work.
I really wanna swap it in an old chassis. Just didn't got my hands on it yet.
