Need a suggestion.

Google maps take you from karachi to m9 and then n55 till qazi ahmed. Then N5 bedal petrol pump before M5.

Is it recommended to take N55 till qazi ahmed or should I shift to N5 from Hyderabad and continue till M5.

Last time I followed google, due to a glitch in the internet I missed qazi ahmed bridge, went all the way sehwan, dadu, mehar, larkana, khairpur.

I think im late but i would suggest to take N5 from Hyderabad. Google map indeed suggests N55 instead of N5, but the latter is better, as I found out while travelling on both.

So I did my travels. Since this was a boys only trip. We could do adventures

Towards lahore we took m9 to Hyderabad and then straight towards N5, I didnt wanted to do be the stupid one. Till sukkher to many trucks we could hardly cross 60-80 km/H. Took N5 all the way till bedal petrol pump rohri, took m5 from there.

On our way back I was still curious about the aamri/qazi ahmed bridge and google showed we could save 45 minutes if took that route.

I agreed all my friends and we took the route. It's a clean route. No heavy trucks, but it's a single road and not recommended for night driving.

Alot of construction going on they are dualizing the n55. But the qazi ahmed/aamri bridge is still a single road.

By taking this route one can save good 45 minutes of traveling time.

My experience was actually not good as the last time I traveled on N55 I found more traffic than N5. Due to a long line of extremely slow moving vehicles ahead, it actually took me more time, not to mention the hazard of trying in frustration to overtake and facing the traffic coming from opposite side. Never used it again. But yeah, maybe it was bad timing for me and at other times, the route is clean.

Great to know they are making it double road. However, the traffic may even increase as everyone would want to save time and take this road instead of N5. They should widen the highway too.

In sugar cane season it might be choked due to tractor trolleys of sugar cane.
While coming from Lahore to Karachi I visited Kot Diji so instead of joining N5 I took Mehran Highway. The road is excellent but single carriageway. It proved to be a better option than N5. Mehran Highway ends at Nawabshah and I had to go towards Sanghar so it saved a lot of time, plus the drive was enjoyable due to very less traffic.
I thought of using the same route on return from Karachi but chose N5 as the time would have been same .
