Lahore - Karachi Routes? Hotel? Food Stops?

Hope you all are good,

i travelled from karachi to lahore in march, now i am going back to karachi.
this time i am with family, last time when i came from karachi to lahore,i stopped at bahawalpur.
i want to stay some where for rest, means i dont want to come non stop.

• guide me when should i leave lahore,
• where should i stay night. , hotel suggestion/contact no.
• i want to reach karachi before 6 pm
• where should i stop for food/lunch.
• most imp. when i was coming from khi-lhe, i remember some one told me not to take bahawalpur > lodharan> jahanian road. due to under construction and alot of load due to short cut. so i took route via multan. Highway.
  should i take the same route ??

Bahawalpur > lodharan> jahanian road is worst due to Heavy traffic and also it's not wide enough. So better stop at multan and moves further.

Yes stick to N5 (via Khanewal-Multan-Lodhran) and don't take E5 (Khanewal-Lodhran) because of the same reason you have mentioned.

Leave Lahore early and reach Rahim Yar Khan by evening. Stay at Rahim Yar Khan and leave early next morning if you want to reach Karachi by evening.

I never stayed at RYK because I usually stay either at Multan or at Samma Satta (near Bahawalpur) at my relatives place.

But ideally Rahim Yar Khan is more suitable to break the journey on Lahore-Karachi route as its almost the center. Lets see if any other PakWheeler can recommend a good hotel in RYK or you can Google for some.

Move from Lahore at 7am, stay on N5, Use Khanewal-Multan-Lodhran (N5) and not E5, not for cars plus car would lose its life. Have food at Multan, u would be there in 5hours like at 1PM. Then move and Stay at Rahim Yar Khan (Hotel Faran), its like 4-5km inside Rahim Yar Khan Bypass i guess if u go through its newly metalled road. Luxurious, big rooms, 2500-3000 rent, Ac works if needed in this weather, Food is Good, Proper Parking, Garden, Security. Next day move again at 7am, U would be at Moro at 1:30PM-2PM. Stay and have Lunch and move again. You would be at Karachi by Maghrib at 6 or 7pm.

7am time is suitable if family is together else u can go as early as 4, but with family u dont need to rush at 4am when 7 am is suitable time.
