Hey . i am a former LSE student . i did my 4 years bachelors and then MBA from here. Well as far as job market/Ranking is concerned their are only 3 top institutions in business field and LSE comes on top .and LSE graduates are offered decent jobs and nice packages (for a starter ) when you freshly graduate . Where as other universities like BNU , USA and other related to business studies are there too but if you want to foresee your future in job market then LSE is the best choice because your money time and effort would be exhausted while doing a degree so beter decision should be taken and Yes there was a time when LSE used to be for everybody but that was back in 2005-2007 .Now admission there is done through the proper tests process and procedures. Secondly inorder to stay and study in LSE with good grades and CPGA you need to put in effort their at LSE because study is must along with punctuality and LSE demands all these things from you .Otherwise surviving at LSE would be hard for you and later on less CGPA holds no importance in market . Ambiance is great . and inside environment and discipline is well looked after as it is managed by former Army Officer . Their teachers and course outline matches the international standard . so i would suggest simply go ahead . and mark my words ''YOU WILL LEARN ALOT HERE ''!!

I am LSE student and I did my bachelor's from there. Now I am applying for mba in LSE
For those people who have named it lahore school for everyone etc are those people who got rejected from lse or just are too waila that don't have any other thing to do.
Let me tell you LSE is one of the finest universities of Pakistan. Just in few years it got huge recognition from everywhere. People from lse get very good salary packages and apart from that the grooming in LSE is fantastic. I was poor at everything and now I can confidently take on any challenge whether it's related to business or job.
Yes LSE lacks at bit in campus activities but that have improved drastically.
You will get very good company there, not some gujjars or paindos etc.
Entering in lse is easy but surviving is the key. The intense study structure will keep you engaged for the rest of 4 years.
The teaching faculty is great. Teachers are willing to help you when you need them.
Go for LSE and in a nick of time it will gain international recognition as well.

I did my MBA in 2007 and it was excellent experience for me, i think after Lums LSE is the top business school in Lahore.

Spending 2.5 years, money and energies, will it be worth for MBA degree?

I've done both my Bachelors and Masters from LSE.

Bachelors 2008-2012
Masters 2012-2013

Back in the days LSE was hiring good professional teachers with experience, for Bachelors but what they are doing now is anyone who is graduating from LSE with a PhD is being hired as a teacher to teach initially to Bachelors. That actually sucks!

Bachelors in LSE is not that tough, it is meant to groom you and make you street smart so you can work your way out in different situations.

MBA on the other hand is a different story altogether; very competitive and tough, they will bring you down to the point where you would just want to quit in the middle of the first semester. Talking about the 1 year MBA. But it will land you a good interview and LSE students are really sought after.

Now coming to the point where most people say everybody gets into LSE easily, well yea thats sort of true, this is a tactic to generate revenue.
They will enrol say 1500 students i to Bachelors but after the first generic year students unable to maintain the 2.5 GPA are kicked out and the normal 500-600 students are left.
This how they make enough revenue in the first year and then keep the above average lot.

The MBA entry test is quite tough and lengthy, LSE's MBA will teat you to your limits, bachelors is a fun thing.

Bhai LSE is booming these days.
My friends did MBA recently and all are hired by heavy firms such as Phillip Morris, Pakistan Tobacco, engro, nestle, Zong etc.
LSE yearly job fare is incredible, almost all biggest firms of Pakistan participate in it and hire lse students.
Lastly the MBA of lse is very challenging, students are so competitive and studies are really tough, you will initially find it hard to compete but eventually you will adjust.

I agree with Nabeel, however in my case my base education is different and i did my MBA in my late 30s (Just to have masters degree), however i feel there are very good opportunities and repute of LSeians.

I had done fsc pre medical . lse entry test is sat based . it is only easy for O LEVEL and A LEVEL students . for me who had done math in matric ( 2 years ago) . fsc English is quite different . entry test is difficult for me
