Lahore to Islamabad via GT Road

Aoa. Hope you guys are doing well.
I have travelled from Lahore to Islamabad via motorway multiple times but this time I want to travel via GT Road. Actual reason behind is exploration of GT Road. What tips or tricks you guys would suggest me regarding this travel.
1. Stopovers
2. Important places on the way
3. Any good restaurants
4. How to avoid traffic
5. How to save fuel while driving on GT Road
6. Anything not to miss

Car: Honda City 1.3M 18

1 & 3. Jhelum river/ kharian/ lalamoosa /chenab ruver

1. Rohtas bridge near Dina,

2. Due to fog, drive after 10 AM

3. Drive at 90_ 100 . Yiu will get best average .

4. Remember it requires vigilance especially near lahore and rawalpindi

Be very careful when driving on the left lane. Bikers from rural areas come suddenly from the sides of the road without looking anywhere.

How much time this journey will take with one stopover of half an hour?

Do use M2 from Babu Sabu till Kala Shah Kaku. If you got stuck at Shahdra, it'll waste alot of time.

Road from Kala Shah Kaku till Gujranwala Toll Plaza is okyish, you have to be active to avoid pot holes.

1- If you are foodie, then Gujranwala can be a good spot for food. Othan than that Chenab River, Jhelum River are good spots for a break (I prefer dhabas)

2- Chenab River stay area, Jhelum River stay area, Rohtas Fort, Mangla Dam (if you can spare time)

3- There are KFCs on the way if you are fast food lover else Shahbaz Tikka at Chan da Qila (Before Gujranwala), Akbar (can't recall exact name) at Jhelum River. Mian Ji between Lala Musa & Kharian (but I find it over-rated)

4- You'll have to travel early morning or late at night to avoid traffic. Every other time will have traffic. Try to save yourself from bikes and chingchis

5- Avoid hard acceleration.

Continuous drive take around 4-4.5 hours (Keeping in view the traffic)

Gujranwala to Lahore is extremely crowded. Bikes, Chingchis, buses and trucks will be out to get you. Highlight of the trip is Tarakki and Domail hills. Drive safe.

I am from dina but doing job at faisalabad
I regularly use this road.
in my opinion stick to motorway, I do prefer to travel on motorway because there are soo many rush areas on GT road. people on bikes and rikshaws doesn't even care about you. they take u turn and change sides without looking at mirrors, o sorry they actually don't have mirrors on bike rikshaws etc and in fog case is even worse.
One more thing it take so many time because every 6-10km's there is a city and in city speed limit is 50km/h only you will be tired.
