Lahore to Nathia Gali - Motorway or GT road?

Salam, We (family) are planning to go to Nathia Gali from Lahore. What is better, to go through motorway or GT road. It's me and my wife. Motorway is comfortable, but boring I guess.

What is condition of GT road?
What is time difference between both routes?
What is the availability of mechanical support on both roads, in case if any breakdown?

If you are not in a hurry then GT Road is a good option.
Mechanical assistance is available on both routes (my car suffered mechanical failures on both roads & I got assistance on both roads with no big problem).
Motorway has orderly traffic and generally safer than GT Road.
Motoway takes more time than GT Road as it covers more distance.
I would suggest GT Road if the weather is clear.

Motorway.

GT Road particularly till Gujranwala is awful.

I am back in Lahore after the trip to Nathia Gali. I don't rive through motorway for two way trip. On the way back, the car encountered a mechanical problem right before Kalar Kahar service area. Fortunately it reached Kalar Kahar service area workshop and the issue was fixed in an hour. Over all the driving experience was great on Motorway as well as uphill and downhill areas. Also I was happy with my cars mileage. It's a Toyota Belta 1.3 G edition and it gave 18km/l in long route.

Yes the mileage is good however in city driving it gives 12 km/litre

In the city, 12 is fine. My City 2012 model gives me 12-13 in the city with A/C. On GT Road going from Pindi to Lahore in winter it gave me 19 & on M2 without A/C from Lahore to Pindi it gave me 16. Good enough!

19 on GT road is REALLY good. Belta gives me 12 in city driving with AC, sometimes more depending on how I drive

Please remember it's downhill from Pindi to Lahore, so 19 without A/C is OK
