The diesel was called 4d68, and this car engine is placed like an old Honda (engine is on right side of engine bay when looking from front of car) - make sure you get those engines, not the later ones which fit on the other side.
There are tons of mitsubishi engines like that too, you can find a 4g93 sohc which is 1.8 liter and very good. and also a 4g93 mivec which is another very underrated engine but can literally shove you into the seat when it revs.
You can also get a simple 4g63 sohc (steel valve cover)from a galant or similar and it will fit on too.
