Lancer 2006 - Engine Issue

Aoa All, I have following issues with my lancer 2006, 1300 CC, with 220,000 mileage and properly maintained 1st hand car in Islamabad:
1. high engine oil consumption; gets below the minimum level (I noticed this issue after engine repair work done due to timing belt breakage)
2. gives white smoke when starts in the morning
There are no other issues; AC, acceleration, etc is fine. Mitsubishi Islamabad workshop and another car mechanic in G-8 has advised for engine overhaul; so the questions are:
1. which is better: overhaul or an engine swap?
2. From where should I get the overhaul done, or find a reliable engine?
3. From where can I get a compression test done?
4. Would a oil change to Liqui Moli 20w50 with engine flush make some improvement? Have been using Havoline/ Caltex and recently 20-50.

after how many km the oil gets below the low mark on dipstick

It's usually around travelling of 400-500km's in these engines.. This happens when this 4g series starts eating oil.. It becomes a oil guzzler

Yup if the valve seals and rings are gone These 4g engine will eat oil every 500kms.

Hello friends,
My lancer 2006 has jerk and missing problem. I have searched on this forum but havenot found the solution. The car is perfect and is never driven on CNG. Engine is perfect with no oil loss. The only problem is the jerks and missing. Sometimes the car is perfectly fine and sometimes it jerks with missing. Missing here refers to very low acceleration, dragging and a feel of power coming and going. The missing issue is not related to fuel pump. I have changed iacv but still the problem is there. As the car jerks engine check light comes on and goes away after 4 5 seconds. So i think it is related to a sensor. I have changed iacv now maf and tps sensor are left. I hope there are no more sensors :). Can any brother help me in finding the issue with his experience?

yes. the mechanic said they are fine just its wires (the rubber part was worn out) so i changed them. the lower ideal is 95% pf the times. ok on ac is also ok. sometimes on idle suddenly rpm goes to 2 and engine check light comes up and then goes away but rpm sometimes comes to normal sometimes it comes to normal once i drive and then idle.

btw sir i am facing this issue for last 3 years. it was just once a month that car used to jerk and then it was fine. but now its been a week that this issue is there. i never wanted to go to mechanics as noone understands these Jdms.

i wonder if it was iginition coils then they wont have lasted for years more than 3 years with jerks.

Today i went to a mechanic who had scanner. Though it was not obd scanner it was a but huge one. When he looked for the error codes the screen didnt show error code infact showed the name (theottle poisiton sensor) in error code list only this error was present. When i asked him he said this scanner is a detailed scanner model and gives exact issue not the code. And when i unplugged the tp sensor idle rpm went to 2k but there were no jerks when driving. I couldnt find a tp sensor from my area so ill visit bilal ganj tomorrow to find one.
