hello Brothers! well i have Lancer GLX 1.3 2006, i took it at a millage of 40,000 Km and well now it stands at 72,000km i have driven it since 2009 Jan till date.
My experience of the lancer is pretty satisfactory, I would like to mention that i use, liqimoli's oil for the engine of 15W-40 grade, its of german brand and prompts a change after 10k kms, along with that i use, irridium plugs instead of plain plugs of NGK, said plugs are ment for 50k km millage and only need to be buffed at every oil change, also at the time of my oil change i also get my throttle body and carborator inlet cleaned by any good carb cleaner. With all this my car gives good millage with a 55kg cylinder, on long route with out ac, i have done on average 175 to 180 km, with ac on continusely from ignition to switch of, on long route it gives 160++ km, when i drive in pindi isl, it gives me on average 100+ km in summer with ac running continuesely.
Also i know as for my self i am a heavy foot driver, meaning, i like to listen to the sound of its engine on high rpm most of the time. so if one plays otherwise keeping enginer rpm between 2000 to 3000 with in city in that case one may achieve around 10 to 15 km more.
However pertaining to the observation that the lancer 1.3 manual doest have good pick on cng, well yes, compared to what it gives me on the petron/ octance mixture yes the cng pick up aint that strong, but trust me i havent let a city, or 1.3 corolla come near it, when you pick it up from 0 rpm. The only thing is that in those circumstances u need to undrestand your engine, the 1.3 lancer glx, takes its first boast fuel kick at 3000 rpm, and the 2nd boast fuel kick at 4500 rpm almost, therefore inorder for your engine to make you proud you need to feed in the engine well with fuel, however yes you would need to just switch your ac off for just a sec, if you wish for an extra kick.
As far as the highest speed is concerned, the lancer car manual says, 1.3 glx manual does a maximum 170km sustained on petrol, coz of its heavey body, and ive done 160+ on motorway on petrol, and 150 on cng. But again if u wish for the engine to make you proud u need to accelarate it in the 4th gear instead of the cruse gear.
Over all, my experience of the lancer engine says, u need to feel its power, rising at 3000 rpm and 4500 rpm, to feel the baby beast. Moreover the best part to enjoy is when u can add a petrol/ octance mixture in the car after tuning and then take it on motor way and then spike your rpm guage till 6000 in all first four gears.
Trust me you all lancer lovers would feel more affection for your thing when you do it!
