Whatever you buy, DO NOT buy HP DV-6 series. I had a very negative experience with it. Back in January of 2008 my brother bought one, I liked the design of it, and I also bought one for my self in June of 2008.
My brothers, HP DV-6 series crashed and its motherboard burned exactly 1 year later, in January 2009. First its wireless went bad, then other functions, and finally the whole motherboard. Samething happened with my Laptop, HP DV-6 series one year later in June of 2009.
Later I was told by the warranty people of HP, that DV-6 is known to have motherboard, capacitor melting issue. The outside vendor supplied HP with bad capacitors, which are burning up all the DV-6 series machine motherboards after 1 years usage.
From now on, I will never Buy any HP, ever again. My brother bought an Apple iBook, and is happy with it, the new Apple cost alot, around $1800 but used ones can be purchased for $600, $700 but they last for more than 10 years, and they don't get any viruses.
For me, I got Dell, latitude D620, used one, and it has been performing better than the New HP DV-6, for almost a year now, without any problems.
My advice from the experience, Go for Dell, and never go near any HP.
