Check with Aramex if they deliver to Pakistan. They're pretty inexpensive and offer pick up from your uncle and may deliver it to your doorstep.

They can even clear the customs on your behalf (if any).

The cheapest service is USPS... Ask your uncle to try it via "USPS International Flat Rate Box", if all the things accumulate in that box the postage will be around $60.00 USD. Even with $500 of insurance it won't be more then $70.00.

And if not it can be shipped in its own box via USPS Express Mail International service with $500 of insurance, the postage will be around $110.00 USD... (based on 15 pounds of total shipping weight)

The customs duty on laptops and personal computers is 0% but there is/are other tax(es) though that need to be paid (not sure how much). In order to keep the taxes low the invoice value of the laptop should be kept as low as possible. But you'll have to be all prepared as they would have many other ways to ditch you up, since they don't only rely on the invoice value but also the market value of that product in Pakistan.

Now the choice is yours!!!

Aramex dont operate in Pak. They deliver everything to there partner in Pakistan Leopard courier and they are the worst courier service. If they are in good mood they might get the custom cleared for you and charge twice more than the original price or they just send you the custom document and ask you to hire a clearing agent and get it cleared. Now you will have to give bribe from customs inspection guy and all.

I just recieved 6 used laptops sent from our Dubai office for a project in pak via Aramex (We are there corporate customer in Dubai over one million bussiness between us) they delivered it to leopard.

Leopard refused to clear it (They did clear few for us in past) i shoot an email to aramex with all kind of harsh words for leopard and leopard manager was very rude he was just not gona help. Aramex manager came to our office in dubai and appologize for there behaviar. long story short it took me 3 weeks and 70 thousand to clear 6 used laptop worth not more than 1200$.

Laptops were in islamabad sent from KHI by leopard with no address on the packages in the end i again had to fight my way to find them and picked up by my self from there warehouse. We did official complaint to Aramex and asked for explanation for all this.

My cousin sent me an iPhone via DHL, it cost more than what its price was here due to shipping plus duty.

Sometime I wonder if the DHL people did to me what we call in Punjabi "Thuk Lagana" with regards to duty, even though I was given a receipt for it. But its Pakistan, and here you can do anything.

I although had a very good experience. I got couple of items via Pakistan Post from Ebay safe and sound and no hassle. No custom etc

I think its better for u to ask your uncle to send u money via WU or Bank transfer, so that u can buy a laptop from here(Pakistan).

no extra duty, no hassle, no tension.

Yeah you are right but trust me the same Pakistan Post can give such a hard time that you won't even expect in dreams

And that's not only with the Pak Post only, I'm working with a North American company and the work involves shipping products via USPS, Canada Post and Royal Mail of USA, Canada and UK respectively and trust me they are all like Pakistan Post at times.

It might varies from experience to experience !
Canada post sucks too !
But overall, they are more or less the same
