Laptop or Pc for video and photo editing

Hi guys,which is the best LAPTOP or PC for video editing,photoshop,illustrator,3d studio....etc softwares?

And is laptop more suitable for designing purposes (more detailed work is needed)or should i go for high performance pc with widescreen lcd?

Only for designing purpose ,totally no gaming

Anyone in this field?plz help

Desktop is alot better than Laptop for eiditing,3dstudio etc etc

in laptop although it is mobile but still u can do much of editing on a 15.4 inch..if u go for a high end (1000-1500$) laptop then u want it to be 19-20 inch and it will be alot big ..so no need for a laptop get a desktop....if u need a desktop..here is my suggestion

1)Intel Core2Quad Q6600 18k (Best Price for the money)(Really overclockable)(plus great multitaslter)(better than Core2 Duos)
2)MSI P35 Neo 2(u can put 2 GPUS(ati cards only) in there)(good overclocker)(highly stable like if u use it 24/7) 8k
3)500Gb SATAII or 250 GB SATAII (go for 16 mb cache) 5k
4)any samsung widescreen 22 inch lcd moinitor around 18 k
5)HIS ATi Radeson 4870 (best card out there)(i am not telling u nvidia cards bcoz they are not so good in software editing)..(mostly good in games so go for ati)...22k
6)A4tech X7 750 BF 2500 DPI mouse(nice mouse) 1 k
7)A4tech X7 G800 Keyboard 1k
8)oops a nice powersupply around 500 watts 4k
9)speaker 4.1 inspire will do good 3k

total=3+4+1+1+22+18+5+8+18
=80 K

i know thsi is a high end pc u have to pay a bit more

but trust me it will be really good for around 3-4 years......

i m not much into overclocking becuz had a very bad experience ending up with too much high temperature and :(...

300gb WD(which i have bought)

ATI radeon 256mb(bought)
DVD R/W
best casing for cooling purposes:P
22 inch LCD
and fast keyboard n mouse

man dont go for intel genuine boards..
atleast buy a nice gigabyte MSi or any other board no 975 and shit like that....seriouslty.....they arent so good compared to the gigabyte or msi boards...not so much durable,

3 gb ram ok

256 mb radeon??specific model???if it is 3850 or 3650 them ok but it wont like give u the performane

try to have the 3 gb of the same company..no 1 gb from corsair and 2 gb from kingston

better get any ati 512 mb card
bcoz ati has more stream processor...

still i would suggest u to buy a decent graphic card....bcoz in edtitng and stuff ...nice GPU plays a greeeeeeeeeeeeat role

isn't intel x48BT2 or intel x38bt good :S on q6600?

well i think the Extreme series is good but expensive
asus P5k Vm or any asus p35 motherboard will do just fine

Laptop will just be more expensive.
You can always hook up an LCD.

With your budget you wont get a good enough laptop.

Stay away from Intel. Thier mboards suck.

Why don't you try AMD? The AMD Phenom quadcores are available in Pakistan now.

Intel DG33FB
WD 500GB SATA
3GB KINGSTON DDR2
LG SUPER DVD R/W
ASUS builtin TV TUNER
TOWER casing with good cooling system

All costed me 39k

Their is a short list of best Pc for photo and video editing. I'm using picsart for pc free for window in Microsoft surface studio 2 and you can't image the speed and result I get from it cannot given by anyone. Mine suggestion studio 2 rest of the decision is upto you.
