Learning Permit

Salam
Guys today i received my learning permit (SIALKOT TRAFFIC POLICE). Now on it there are no specific instructions on how its supposed to be used. Am I supposed to drive with someone who has a Driver's License?? And is it really necessary to put the L sticker on the back of my ride??

@iLLDuDe786, bro actually they at traffic centre dont teach how to use learners license ,, the method of use is that u can driver within Sialkot ,, if you are using a bike then put the word "L" in red color on your bikes front lite and wear a helmet,,, incase of car put the "L" in red color in both front and rear wind screens,,,, take care drive safe.

he said " dekho beta bike ya garhi chala lo magr koi police wala pakrey tho rs200 ka chalan hoga, kehdena k license ghar per hai"

yes u have to have someone with permanent lisencse and no passenger except for that person.....but obviously nobody follows..neither do i...

no kidding...i got mine in jan from north nazimabad number 6 traffic police station...acually my original licesne got snatched
so i have to get learner's before getting permanent one...process is real simple..
reach there at 9 pm SHARP with 2 passport size photos and 400 Rs cash...once u r in queue u will be out of there by 10:30

ya sorry 9 am...actually the sooner the better...cause after 12 u won't get it the same day...and yaar u also must have nic copy...so being 17 might create some problem...

i've got number of an officer who processed my request through...pm me and i can give u his number...then u can talk to him urself..

@AFJ, thanks bro for the info i doubt i would be following this rule but its good to know incase.

@Aqib, well bro unless your nationality is other then Pakistan you will have to wait until you turn the age of 18 and that's when you can get the learners. i got the learners lisence bcoz i already have an overseas card which is my ID CARD in Pakistan.(also through some connections)

@M_waqas, thankx for the info but i don't think these laws are really inforced because i know a few frnds who drive around with this permit andas long as they follow the rules nothing happens

well yar today mei sialkot se aya wahan mei 5 day pori fam ke sath raha. mei khud drive kar ke le kar gey skt and wahan bhi cantt, garrision park and mcdonalds wagera giya from haji pura
there is no strictness at all and i am one yr younger than u. nothing they would do unless u do the mistake.

Dude you can go wherever in whole sialkot no one will ask you for license or ID card. they only ask when entering cantt. (i live in cantt) and from reading the places you visted you didnt go in cantt. no one is alllowed to go in cantt with whatsoever car or sticker, you are required to show your id card and sometimes even license then they will let you pass otherwise challan or they send you back!

honestly i drove w/o it for two years+ and nothing happened you just need to be careful and if your unlucky then at the most you wud get challanded for 200rs nothing else...but i still don't recommend it as its against the law.

but you need to be careful bcoz alot of ppl do blackmailing like i got into a car accident it was 50/50 fault but i had to pay for everything bcoz the other ppl threat me that they wud make a case out of it (cause i dont have license back then) bla bla so in the end i had to fix their car for 90k+ anyways just be careful while driving (if you drive underage) and stay rocking

dude if your nationality is from the states , then wen u visit pakistan you wud have an OVERSEAS PAKISTAN ENTRY CARD which looks v v similar to "shinakti card" your learners can be made on that...

dont think 17 year old would b given permit to drive..

n learner license is nothing hard to get..
real problem is to get original license...

yea its actually a really easy process if your over the age of 18 and have CNIC card. but for me being only 16 but having some sort of id it helped and i got it done through some connections.
