LED Headlight for motorbike

I too changed my Piaggio's bulb with a tube like bulb with whiter and 2x better life. I am really happy with this bulb which cost me 160 rs+40 rs installation charges.

By the way, there were many different types of led lights ranching from 500 to 1300 and more....but somehow I didn't like them all cos they can be hazardous to upcoming traffic!!!

I recently installed chines headlight in my chines bike and very impressed with the result same like HID, but i found issue with the light was it cannot perform low beam function, it seems to be manufacturing fault because i found most of the other same headlights having same issue too, so i trace its power circuit and found two smd diodes faulty, so i remove and replace them with 2 (1N4001) diodes that are very common. Now they perform low beam function with lower 3 leds and high beam function with all 6 leds. The diode with brown wire is for angel eyes (so called) or for two small led ( i replace these blinking leds with white ones).

LED cost = 730
Reflector metal (you have to cut the reflector to fit the LED light) = 80 approx
Installation cost = Done my self so zero but i hear electrician charge around 100

Is your solution better than HID?

I think it's far better than as compared to HID, because it's low cost, longer lifespan then HID, safe for upcoming traffic but not very much especially for bikers.

I understand ur point. Headlight for broader view and led for beam .
