I have orient 50 inch LED and a month ago it leds got dim after 5 years usage. got the leds replaced from orient centre and now there is bright light from one side if I watch it from angle. orient guy is saying its normal whereas it was not there before. please guide me what he dis wrong so that I can confront them on technical grounds as they charged me heavy for this repair.

If you have the budget, Sony is top thing. I personally have samsung it is pretty good as well but try to buy it from official store or authentic dealer as there are a lot of substandard samsung Leds in market

If budget is not an issue go for Samsung hands down...
but if budget is really issue than dont look here and there and purchase TCL. Its best quality tv among all other Chinese brands, colors are more vivid and comparable to samsung/Sony. And its cheaper than Samsung. I have used Samsung in past and after 3 years its panel got malfunctioned and i had to repair it and now i think its picture quality is not the same anymore. So go for TCL.

No need to waste extra money on Samsung etc.

Changhong and Hisense are top quality Chinese manufacturers that sell products all over the world with their original brands. Buy any two of these. TCL is also ok but Hisense is better and then changhong.

Don't go for local resellers like ecostar, orient etc. They just buy cheapest stuff from China and slap their own logos on them and just rebrand them.

Go for original Chinese brands which are global. Like Hisense, changhong and lastly TCL.

And trust me you won't even notice any difference between these TV's and an overpriced stuff from Samsung or LG.

The only competition comes up at 65 inch Plus range with OLED panels.

For the rest it's stupid to waste money on overpriced Samsung , Sony, lg.

brother when you compare color rendering and OS working the difference becomes significant like sony is so smooth with best color rendering. similarly samsung is superior with its OS. As explained by hash737 if you wanna spend wisely and target long term use stick with sony or samsung high end tvs.

oterwise for not personal use application any cheap brand can be chosen. they are all the same more or less.

Not saying it doesn't happen but lots of TVs have remained fine in my experience with no such issues.

What you're describing might happen to a very few no. Of cases. Same way you can't say a Sony or Samsung will not malfunction at all.

And brands like Hisense have a global reputation. TCL to some extent and Changhong too.

Ecostar orient Haier have indeed slow menus and switching channels..

As for color rendering it won't matter for majority of the users, nobody will be able to tell the difference unless you're a professional .

When it comes to high end models definitely Sony Samsung are much better because of software , menus.

But OP is just looking for ,32 to 40 inch TV . Not much difference in this segment

just google the term DSE...you will know what i am talking about...and this effect is a manufacturing deffect in ALL chinese brands tvs...its something ruled out only in high end tv models...

Panasonic forgets you after you buy their electronics, specially incase of smart tv panasonic hardly gives out any updates.....in a smart tv OS plays major role..

Panasonic was good back then in PLASMA tvs.

I have a 40" Samsung LCD bought in january 2009. Not even a single fault in last 11 years. The other LED TV is 50" LG bought in March 2013 repaired twice through LG service centre.
Based on above my vote is for Samsung.

Our Samsung 43 inch plasma bought in 2012 is still going strong with almost no palpable difference from LEDs. Recently bought a Hisense 55 inch TV after finding out that it was one of the biggest brands in the world and not repenting the decision gives cheap price of 790000

is it the price you paid or there is some typo ? 790,000 for a 43" Plasma in 2012 or 55" Hi-Sense in 2019/20
