Yes, they are allowed and completely legal. And there is nothing wrong about it. LHD cars are even allowed in UK whose traffic direction we follow. Similarly, RHD cars are legal in LHD countries. In the USA there are plenty of RHD cars to be found. It happens in the case of exotics or hard to find JDM cars. Also, postal service vehicles here are RHD to allow the mail man to exit curbside and not into traffic.
