Hi guys i bought a corolla gli 1.3 automatic 2015 model.Car is absolutely very good but its fuel consumption is very bad.it gives me 8-9 km/L even in complete eco mode. Kindly help me improving its average practically.i have been driving it very light footed and without anyother passenger on board but the average is still the same. Before buying i had got mixed reviews regarding fuel average however now i am quite definite about the worst ones. Also guide me that additives like fuel system treatment liqui molly help enhancing the fuel average or not.please provide some practical suggestions.
Try any good fuel station first. Sge is 1.3 plus auto. WOnt expect any good average. it shodl be giving 10-11 in local. not more than that according to my view. additives dont help in increasing fuel average, they might help to clean your injectors. so to keep clean injectors, better when you go on long route after 3, 4 months. while a refil fist add 6 to 7 litres on hi octane a nd full your tank with normal fuel.
In city max 10km/ltr provided your fuel/petrol/light foot/ filters are at their best.
highway 13 or may be 15 km/ltr.
In city automatic 1.3cc will have the worst of all.
As for your car 8-9km/ltr in city even after being 5 year old car -- Not Bad
I have GLI Auto 2015 model as well and it easily give me 10+ average with AC in City drive. I suggest you to get your Catalytic converter clean from Toyota or any reliable mechanic (only using air). I once had low mileage issue and it was resolved.
