Today i am starting a thread and i am sharing my recent brief excursion around my beloved country Pakistan. As an avid traveller i have been to many places in my Pakistan, and have travelled a lot, But this one was memorable. It covered all four provinces in a single venture.
We were two friends and our ride was Suzuki Khyber.
It was a 12 days tour. Starting from 8 Feb 2018 to 19 Feb 2018.
P.S; it was a solo driving tour, because my friend doesn't know how to drive yet
We started our journey from Peshawar.
Our first destination was DG Khan
Route used was Indus Highway, that is from Peshawar to Karachi via Di khan DG khan
Peshawar-Kohat-Karak-DI Khan-DG Khan
(I Personally don't recommend for someone travelling from Peshawar to Karachi in their own car to use this route. Though it is shorter but it is single road and not as good as N-5 Highway...That is much much much better. This is only good for Daewoo and Trucks etc Public transport commercial vehicles.
Because you can not find any petrol pump in miles, and if you find one it would not be having any Tuck shop or rest area...Just petrol and diesel they can offer you...
And you will find Petrol pumps just in cities and not in between...Especially i am talking about peshawar to DG Khan section. It does not have any facility and too less traffic in day time, at night you can guess yourself.
While on N-5 you won't feel anything like this...It has restaurants, rest areas, commercial areas, petrol pumps and 200 percent safe to travel 24/7..
So i recommend everyone who travel for first time from Peshawar to Karachi to use the following route
Peshawar-Lahore via Motorway, Lahore-Khanewal via N-5, Khanewal-Multan (M4 Motorway), Multan-Hyderabad N-5 Highway (via Bahawalpur, Rahimyarkhan, Sukkur) and Hyderabad- Karachi via M9 Motorway.
You can also take Peshawar-Gojra via Faisalabad Gojra Motorway and then Gojra-Tobatekk singh and Khanewal,
Rest is same as explained. Both are feasible)
Our second destination was Quetta.
Route used was DG Khan-Fort Munro-Loralai-Qilla Saifullah-Quetta
Our Next destination was Gwadar.
Route used was N-25 RCD(Regional Cooperation for Development) and N-10 MCH(Makran Coastal Highway) via Quetta-Mastung-Kalat-Khuzdar-Lasbela-Uthal-Ormara-Pasni-Gwadar
Next destination was Karachi
Route used was same N-10 MCH(Makran Coastal Highway)
Next destunation was Bahwalpur
Route used was N-5 Karachi-Hyderabad-Sukkur-Rahimyarkhan-Bahawalpur
Next destination was Lahore
Same N-5 route Bahawalpur-Multan-Lahore
After that our last destination was our hometown Peshawar
Same N-5 route used Lahore-Gujranwala-Jhelum-Rawalpindi-Peshawar
Total Distance Covered 6000 kms
