Hey everyone, been off from the face of PW forums for a long time..
I was thinking about how people's cars are abused in Pak , the forums are filled with people complaining how mechanics screwed their cars , i have been working on cars along with my studies and i recently graduated with my CS degree , it got me thinking , why there are no workshop who do stuff properly according to manual , why only "jahil " people are in this industry , why is a mechanic considered a lower person , why people with passion arent in the field and replace people who are in this field cuz amma ne bachpan ma workshop pe bitha diya tha cuz parhai ma dil ni lagta or ushataad ne mar mar ke sikhaya .
I have worked on cars and the aziyat you face , bewaqoof banana logo ko , jhoot and what not , people cant trust these guys.
Ok so now am thinking of opening a one stop workshop , where you can get :
All mechanical work done , and according to the book , no jugggaar , no nothing everything done properly, every mechanical fault will be properly diagnosed and fixes will be done accordingly.
Body work , again with proper paint jobs in booths , no hiding dents with putty and spraying paint over rust to hide it. , proper detailed stuff with no runs to the market “ ushtaad screw laado “ and breaking handles while fixingg them and be like “ushtaad aap kaalty sahi ni laye , jeniun nahi hai” , just drop your key and get a detailed body work done.
Proper detailing : proper detailings inside and outside, and polishing etc.
So the question is will you guys or the general people come , cuz i have restored cars and i have seen the reckless mechanics abusing peoples cars , paint jobs with waviness and cracked filler and what not , from lying , to misplaced parte to direct fans , using petroleum based grease on rubber parts to wrong pipes and plugging stuff with spark plugs and having no idea about wiring , to tightening of head studs with all their power ,i have seen it all , so will people come to get their work done from us? Obviously it’s gonna cost more , not alot , but yes it’s gonna be expensive them a road side , shade tree job and the results will speak themselves.
