Let's share the mileage of your bike

Dear Friends;

Lets share the mileage of different bikes to conclude which is the best in this sense.

I have Suzuki Sprinter 110CC model 2009. When drive under 60km/h then mileage (petrol average) is 58-61km/liter and if drive beyond 60km/h (say 80-90km/h) then 52-54km/liter. I think this is the best mileage which we can expect from a 110CC bike. At every ?reserve? I note down the meter reading, fill the tank and then again note the meter reading at next reserve and calculate.

I have a Honda 100 - 2010 model. Since purchase, I have measured the fuel average to vary between 40 - 50 km/l, mostly being in the 45 - 50 km/l bracket. I don't find this good enough, but it is consistent. I also had my mechanic check spark plug and see whether fuel screw could be adjusted to reduce fuel consumption, but he said spark plug was in 10/10 condition and fuel screw required no adjustment. Anyway, I am happy with 45+ km/l average.

Plus, I am thinking of selling out my Honda 100 and buy the stylish, new Sprinter 110 bike. Why I want to switch to Sprinter 110 is to get more power in my hands and enjoy a different make of bikes. So please tell me if I should go for Suzuki 110. Morevover, a point of concern in making this choice is also the resale value. Kindly advise.

I have sold out my Honda CD 100 and purchased Suzuki GD 110: My Suzuki GD 110.
I will share GD's mileage once I have the necessary measurements.

depends on how hard to ride it......mileage does not only depend upon the condition and model of the bike but also the riding style of the rider.....my freinds use to call me EFI.......as the way I use to save fuel by putting the bike in neutral drive while going down the slopes.

My 1992 Honda CG-125 is normal condition use to give me 40KMPL if I dont rev the engine like a mad man.

Then I bought a Unique UD-70, when new no one believes me but my beloved chonda gave me 100KMPL.
Now 4 years later the same bike manages 45KMPL. The condition is more or less not different but my riding style has changed decreasing the mileage.

Hmm... Empty tank, fill up with 1 Ltr. of petrol, drive until it finishes(Not sure if it messes up engine or not.)
drive on reserve too, and have a bottle with petrol which should suffice to nearest filling station.

Or: Fill the tank to the max, and keep riding, riding,riding..urrgh until it finishes, and then just divide KM/s done by ltrs. of fuel filled.

Can an expert please confirm these 2 methods, don't wanna get blamed for messing up someones engine...

Well, the way i measure is RESERVE to RESERVE method....

I fill up my bike tank (full) and note down the reading from ODO meter. And when it his RESERVE i note down the reading again....

Suppose while filling bike's meter reading was 1000km. After using/driving and when it hit RESERVE it's reading is 1350km...

Final reading - initial reading
= 1350km - 1000
= 350km

My bike (CG125) has 10 litres fuel capacity and 2 litres is for RESERVE. 8 litres!

350km/8 litres = 43.75Km/L

wow....my civic manages 10KMPL....... its 1500cc and weight 1.5 tons.
