Ok it is now conferm that lg lte dose not support EDGE..

I just got mine set on with gprs/mms settings and it is only connecting to gprs on edge enable area.

As the title says, bought an Optimus G F180L for 24.5K...Alhumdullilah its a very very nice phone in that budget!!
My question is that i know we can covert this F-180 to International Optimus'es G Firmware and use its custom rom with the F180L Baseband, now tell me the procedure and which rom to Flash which get roots easily becuase i wont be using the stock rom so dont worry if its ICS Or JB but should be rootable and flashable to F-180L.

they say it improves batry

I am using Sphinx v 4.1 on su640. This ROM was originaly developed for lu6200 and then got ported to su640.

LG has a factory firmware restore tool called LG update or something. It is used to flash stock firmware kdz files to the phone. To flash custom ROM, custom recovry such as CWM is used.

Since you are already on a rootable firmware, you can just root,.install CWM and flash a custom ROM such as Sphinx etc.

Is your phone rooted? Rooting and flashing custom rom will solve the issue . If you want to remain on current rom root the phone and change setting from root explorer. Sms issue will be solved

A very simple tutorial for root and installing recovery:

The Wired Soup: Root and Recovery LG LU6200 ICS [Confirmed]

Once you have custom recovery, copy your custom rom zip to sdcard->Boot into recovery-> 4 wipes-> flash rom

Ok
Now i got an other problem
I put my fone on charging and after 3 hours when i removed charger and try to open the screen lock, the screen turns black and locks again.
touch works perfectly fine
and when i press hard keys(volume and power) soft key lights turns up for a while then again black.
plz help
