Lhr to Fsd to Lhr in 27.6 liters

Yesterday I drove my sweet-heart (Passo) as

Lahore to Faisalabad via motorway
Then Faisalabad to Khudrrianwala
Then Khudrrianwala to Faisalabad
Then Faisalabad to Lahore

Total coverage distance = 472 Km
Car is Toyota Passo
Engine oil is Liqui Moly Synthoil 5/40
Full tank with of Petrol 40 liters.
Half bottle of Octane booster (Full bottle is 150ml only. But I used 75ml only in full Tank)

AVERAGE I GOT IS 17.1 KM/L (that includes ~380 Km driving on high ways and ~80KM within the City).

Am fully satisfied with what I'm getting.

Thats a great mileage bro my 2.od gave 930km in just 3200 worth deisal on highway means 24kmpl

I bought jdm 660cc for good mileage, using it from last four months, getting 18KM/L on long rout 16Km/L in local.
Today a mehran wala surprised me to tell that, he is getting 19KM/L .................he is using CNG as well.

nice but also try averaging ur milage without octane booster as I have seen many shows and they hardluy do any good and in case of our pathetic fuels the dont really do anything atall

yes infct it has to be slightly more than 17.
But i drove ~80 km in Faisalabad city and in Khudrrianwala also. So the given average of 17.1 km/l also includes that portion as well.
Hence am fully satisfied.
Moreover i kept a/c on throught the way. So, with a/c 17.1 average is pretty awesome. No?

additives like octane booster are popular in those countries where fuel quality is not good. And Pak. is also one them for sure. Perhaps on top.
Hence using such additives are helpfull upto some extend.

Anyway i just tried it for one time as an experiment because have to go out of city. Next week i will use rest half bottle within city to compare the average with normal fuel.

I use 50% HOBC in my Mira m/t and that results in an increase of 3km/liter in the average.

octane booster
rs. 1000/ bottle
one bottle has 150ml only and company says its enough for 50 liter petrol.
But my tank's capacity is 40 liters. Hence i decided to use it twice. I pour 75ml in tank and rest i wilk use soon.

last week i met a person who were having japanese car 1500cc and were claiming that he is getting average as 17km/l within city with ac and 22km/l with ac on motorway.
I insisted to see the car and his odo meter as well. And then he started talking like here n there.,,,,,,,, means, he was just trying to relay untrue comments.
Similarly i have read many people claiming that they are having extra ordinary mileages but all with no proofs. These are just stories to tell. This is what i believe frankly.

I have Mira 2007 and Im getting 23km/l local. On motorway if I drive at 90 i get more than 26. I can prove.

This is a discussion forum and people share their experiences. at least I don't see one can win a prize here by telling exaggerated mileage. People should be trusted.

presently am using 185 mm tires with air pressure 26 psi.
If i use 165 mm tires with air pressure as 40psi, drive at speed of 70km, then surly i can get the passo average like 36km/l too.
But its not about the average at all. Cars are made for humans and not humans for cars. Hence considering other factors (reasonable tires with moderate air pressure at precise speed) are also vital.
I just shared what am getting with my choosen options. But most of the time i believe people just talk very high and away from real facts n figures.

You guys killed the reason for Toyota spending billions on the R&D of Prius to get 23kmpl. Only if they knew a 1000 rupees octane booster could do the trick
