Don't remove the fuel pump. I suggested for an audible check.
As a first step here's what you can do.
After 30 minutes of drive when it starts giving you trouble in starting, remove the fuel cap from the gas tank and hear for pressure release. If fuel tank vent is plugged up so much that pressure is building up in the fuel lines, this problem can happen.
It could also be leaky injectors. On cold engine the additonal fuel doesn't make any difference in starting but when engine is hot, the trickling drops of fuel get vaporized on the piston crown, and then it back fills through the inlet manifold into the air filter.
It could also be faulty ignition coil breaking down whne engine reaches operating temperature.
