Baleno is discontinued. They will launch local assembled liana in 1300cc with cng....I hope it will have a better quality then the baleno.
Anyways @a1saqib how many options do we pakistani's have?Toyota,Honda,Suzuki?Thats it?If a fourth brand name comes,with reasonable prices,people will buy it for sure.

The obvious reasons are:
Suzuki is stereotyped in Pakistan as low, economy car
Liana target market and competitors are other Japan made cars.
Simply because of low image in upper target market, people think very difficult to embrace it especially in the presence of makes like Toyota, Honda, Lancer, Sunny etc.
The high price has hindered it to penetrate the low income markey/buyer group.
The question is then who will buy it?
Liana would have been the winner if priced between xli/city and corolla/civic.

I would agree with hunchback5 on the fact that yes, we do get stripped down cars here in Pakistan, all the way from Toyota to Suzuki. In countries such as India, there is no such thing as waiting for months for the delivery of vehicles, rather days. Cars in most other south asian countries are much better than what we get here. Pakistan however should not be blamed; Pakistan is its people. Blame the government coz they are the biggest mofos at the end of the day! 50% of the cost of local manufactured cars are taxes! DOHC RULES BABY!

With its current price of over 1.2 million, Liana is does not compare well with its competitors such as ALTIS and VTi.

Liana is soon going to be assembled in Pakistan in 1300cc version with factory fitted CNG and will be priced under 1 million. I think it will be successful then.
