Salam,
i have purchased 2007 Liana and the car is MashAllah good, i just wanted to know how hot the engine becomes after a drive..as i cant touch the stick (used to hold and lift the bonnet) inside the bonnet because it become very hot after driving is it normal?. the thermostat inside shows temp is fine....

Your car is getting too much hot, the bonnet can be easily opened after a long drive, get it checked...

Make sure the stick is not in contact with any other metal part of the engine room. In normal conditions it should not get that hot. Lack of air passage can also result in this, this may happen if you have sealed the bonnet with rubber packings.

In how much you got the car and which model?

ummm which model (year) you are thinking about the last two options? guess a lot things will depend on you budget

by the way I am too thinking of changing my other car (Mehran LE)...and would love to try a Steermatic or a auto Liana

No those Lianas were of my office... Not accidented for sure but much rough used rather abused by drivers & mileages of both were between 190K-200K. Although not meter reversed.

Folks I am being offered a price of Pkr 870,000 for my Liana 2008 Rxi.
I am at cross road, whether to sell or keep for another year or two.
I have no issues with car it is more than great for me just the worm of driving a new automatic car is biting me and this sale can pave the road for the new car.
So what you people suggest?

870000 is a very good offer & I think u should go for it.... But confusing thing is that many people are predicting Liana's price to go further high in a couple of months. For now, 870K is a very good deal

Check the temperature sensor switch located on the right side of head.... Same thing happened with my Liana when in a traffic Jam, a Taxi wala told me that my car's radiator is leaking although temp needle just was on the half. I immediately parked the car on the roadside & when i inspected the radiator, it was not leaking rather the coolant reservoir was boiling due to overheating.... So eventually, I found that the temp sensor switch was the actual culprit due to which automatic fan was not functioning properly. Luckily, engine & head was unharmed due to timely notification by taxi driver & I am thankful to him. I still can't understand why needle was not going above half while till half, it was functioning properly.

Hot or not but you should get it checked properly to avoid any sudden break down. We don't want to see you among Liana haters army

Since you will buy the new car in a month or so, so new new prices should not concern you much. BTW I don't have any idea as it is just a rumor for now

i am looking out for 6.5 inch speakers to replace with my default jvc rear speakers...

you should go for fusion encounter cm 65 component speakers,these are 6.5'' and the best result without an amp.pair will cost you near 11k to 12k.

Well i have got my parcel shelf cut to fit bigger speakers lately and now i enjoy some decent instruments.
