Nothing to worry about if it comes in idle or just after the idle and go away.This is same paksuzuki technology found in balenos too.You should always topup the gear oil level.

Skill! Thank you for the reply. But I am sure this has nothing to do with engine... the sound produced is just like a sound if you rub two metal pieces against each other...or like if pull the handbrake slightly and drive...I hope I am able to explain the sound...

Just try to drive a very small distance with hand brake on 2 clicks if the sound vanishes then you just need to adjust the brake shoes in rear drums.

I have a little experience of this sound in balenos,this is gear box sound often comes on idle state or on a move just after idle state if the car has been parked overnight.

All is well.

I am suspecting the brake shoes so drive in the direction where sound is audible.

@Memad! It turned out to be as you suggested...just a dirty rear brake shoe...cleaned both the drums and brake shoes...and she is silent Thank you.

Great to know that TM, enjoy your ride.
I learnt this from my father's Corolla EE80, in my university parking lot back in 1999 I used to pull the hand brake to give it a spin and eventually end up with that noise, later help father for readjustments, I miss those days.

Selling my Liana doesn't means I am unsatisfied with, it is really a great car to keep, if I was not getting a belta (offcourse financed by my friend), I would have bee sure going for a newer model of Liana....

You cannot get such a package in such a price range...

Folks I am being offered a price of Pkr 870,000 for my Liana 2008 Rxi.
I am at cross road, whether to sell or keep for another year or two.
I have no issues with car it is more than great for me just the worm of driving a new automatic car is biting me and this sale can pave the road for the new car.
So what you people suggest?

@ Memad! Umm if you have some additional funds... i think you should think about upgrading your car....but for sure first of all find a 'perfect' car before selling.

sure I am working on the options these days and in the auto tranny list we have the following options

Liana 1.6
City 1.3
Corolla GLi 1.6

so what should be the deal.

ummm which model (year) you are thinking about the last two options? guess a lot things will depend on you budget

by the way I am too thinking of changing my other car (Mehran LE)...and would love to try a Steermatic or a auto Liana

I intend to buy new, just checked the Suzuki site and found that Eminent is no more there so the options now limited to last two.

If the deal is done then will book the car for January delivery.
