I have a Liana 1.6 and am having some issues while driving i,e.
surging and bucking, specially at constant slow speed in 3rd / 4th gear
car seems to be dragging (carrying a lot of weight) while accelerating, (Mehran can outrun it)
Economy seems less, 10 km / l on highway, although most people may say that it is not bad for a Liana but I am expecting more as I have read that 1.6 should do 14 -15 km / l on a highway
car jerks a bit, specially after shifting, 1st - 2nd gear and 2nd - 3rd gear at low rpm
Magic motors:
Visited last week and got its injectors (have been reading from internet and thought that injectors would be the culprit) and TB cleaned but that didn't solve the problem. Now I suspect the IAC (if I got the name right, the sensor / motor at the top of throttle, see pic attached at the end) as its adjustments were broken when the mechanic unscrewed it or the TPS as the mechanic didn't clean it (saying that it doesn't need cleaning)
Previous history: recently had a real bad time (jerking with blinking CEL) driving in cold weather (I bought it second hand and most probably its thermostat is not present, which should be the reason of too much jerking). Anyway, got it checked by a local mechanic, car got much better when he opened the plug gaps. Haven't installed the thermostat as summer has started and car got its head gasket blown a year ago (I know you don't like this and this reduces economy)
I already cleaned the ground connections 2 months ago as mentioned by you in your article
Any suggestions would be appreciated. In fact, I think I am in quite a need to learn about modern cars sensors (local mechanics, even at the Magic motors don't even know the sensor names or they mix it up). I live in Sheikhupura and was thinking to come to you whenever you are available (for learning and doing some DIY stuff)
