yes thats true, TCU/TCM is separate from ECU, i have done the converstion some 4 years back and travelled 3 to 4 time khi isb non stop, all good if kept with care

yes, 1.3 auto engine was swapped earlier then after 2 years converted auto, gear is bolt on, you need to prepare excels as per the length, wiring is typical ,if you are karachi based i can guide you to workshop

The problem is, I am in KPK... and can go to either ISB/RWP or Peshawar for the swap, karachi is very much far away... Which gearbox did you install? 1600cc one?

its same for 1.3 and 1.6 , 1.8 has bigger torque converter

gearbox is different on both cars, liana sx4 areio shares same gearbox.

Salam to all Fans and experts

Bhai need your expert opinion since i am stuck
i did conversion with my 07 Liana, swapped complete M1.6 with Auto tranny imported from japan, did wiring used 1.5 TCM and ECU , computer scan is clear no code shifting and all is good

only issue is detonation/knocking at idle vibrate and make sounds, for sure no cam or barring sound, looks like pre ignition or timing issue, using G Power plugs with original coils, 5W 30 Kixx oil engine was clean on pistons and head cover
please guide what should i do to make it smooth

Use an oscilloscope to check the pulses of crank sensor.
Check the valve lashes as well.

I already told you about it. M16vvt does that. Its a cold compression engine. I've faced this issue when I swapped it In my liana. I swapped it with m18a later on and then the problem disappeared. M16vvt doesn't works with this ecu wiring and air intake system...
