Mobil one is good too and can easily last 10k km. But buying oils from a "corner wala ustaad ji" because its "jainyean" and costs only 500 rupees per litre is the way majority does things here and then cry when their engines fail. In my opinion, changing oil earlier than manufacturer specifications is a cheap way to maintain a healthy engine instead of pushing the boundaries of one's luck all the time. I've seen a lot of engines so far that were destroyed because the owners thought the oil would last for so and so kms but it really didn't. And it's plain stupid to expect recycled oil to last for how long the original product label indicates, as most of those labels are "cloned" in a local printing facility.
