Liana, success or failure?

I had almost made up my mind to go for new Liana VURV, I am double minded now and having second thoughts since of all the people that I have talked about, they all said to avoid it at any cost. They say it has too many problems like one of the problem is of Master Cylinder that blows off....and other mechanical problems....

One of my office colleague Liana and that car has gone to workshop many times due to some faults Even now when I am writing this the car is in workshop. The car is 2 years old by the way.

What do you say? Does Liana have really so many faults especially related to master cylinder? But the thing is when I come to Pakwheels I see a lot of happy Liana customers so I can't decide who is saying what. I mean there I have many people telling not to buy it and then on PW people are happy with the car which is confusing and I can't decide what to do.

^no issue with master cylinder..after 2yrs any car can have problems, just visit any honda or toyota workshop and u will see the reality.
if u like it, go for it u will be more than satisfied. but get the Lxi version.

there is nothing wrong with the car people are just creating the hype u can see liana is slowly slowly picking up the market I have seen many new liana's in Lahore and Isl / pindi have talked to few people all are very happy, there can be faults in any car, search the net and you will see recalls of bimmers and mercks too. My liana is 38 months old now and has 91,000 kms on the clock trust me there is nothing wrong with this car just routine maintainence. Buy it u wont regret it.

Meray bhai, logon key na suno. Just ask Liana owners. there is a member here who has driven his Liana over 80k Kms and mine has done 32k Kms Mashallah without any issues. Honda lovers will tell you to buy a 2001 City instead of a 2009 Liana! Check out the new City and it's quality:

@sami: you can laugh all you want, but can you logically explain how Liana is worse than City/Corolla?( I am talking about the previous models, not the current ones)

The facts to consider are engine HP, torque, acceleration, braking. All these are better in Liana. Just go and study the brochures. Liana has ABS, which neither corolla/city had, even the current xli doesnt have ABS.

Liana has offered maximum options eg engine immobiliser, ABS, side skirts, fog lamps etc etc etc...

And on the road Liana beats the shit out of any City/Corolla, which is a well-established fact on PW.

But if you still want to live in your delusional world, keep laughing bro..

@wahaj, mmmmmm, liana is hit cuz its value for money as ive heard, but looking back at the time when liana was launched, as far as i remember, the 1.6L version was almost equal in price to Honda Civic! at that time i never saw a liana on the road as often as i do now!

now the part about beating city, lets take the 2000 model into consideration!

brakes............i challenge u to outbrake my city, i bet it can stop faster than any 1.3 liana!

accelaration.........95hp, 127Nm torque, 990 kgs total weight, close to 100hp/ton, im sure u can make out what im saying! oh n 0-100 in around 10 secs!!!

lets talk about the looks shall we! hmmmm, i dont know where to start, city is lower, wider, more aerodynamic, n more sexier!!!
n if u say it can beat the i-dsi, well i-dsi was not designed for performance! n SIR G, brochure pe yakeen karte ho, o bhai har koi apne moon apni tareef he karta hai!

n im not saying al this without driving a liana, i used to own one, didnt like it, whoever drove it in my family told us kamal garri hai, i cud see it on thier faces that they are lieing, i for one, wudnt want a liana in my house ever again!
