Liana Thermostat Valve

I have Liana 2006 Rxi. My radiator fan is direct. I want to put it on auto. Electrician said that you have to put a thermostat valve in order to do it auto. I've heard about thermostat issues regarding placement. Should I install a thermostat valve, or should I just leave the fan to direct as it is.

Bro i have liana with auto fan without thermostat valve. Thermostat is risk if you use water as coolant because rusty water clog thermostat valve and cause engine to over heat. Ask your electrician to auto your fan without thermostat valve. Liana has 2 relays for auto fan and 2 fans. Small fan runs on 97.5 C by 1st relay and large fan run on 102.5C on auto fan by 2nd relay.

Thermostat is necessary for proper engine function. Without thermostat, the engine will never maintain operating temperature.

If the engine is fine, install the thermostat.

Without thermostate how car measure temprature and how it will start 1st and 2nd fan on specific temprature 97.5 and 102.5. ????????
Thermostate is neccesry element in a car. Without thermostate how can you know that your car is overheating.

Bro I am confused now, that bro said only relays can do the job but now everyone is saying that thermostat is necessary. I can install thermostat it's not very expensive, but the only problem is that people say this car troubles with thermostat. When thermostat gets clogged, car starts overheating. I am totally confused.

Dont be confused, thermostate valve function is not to measure temperature. Mostly people think it measure temperature. Its function is to get operating temperature of car quickly. Temperature is measured by engine coolant sensor then ecu turn on fans by relays. Without thermostat operating temperature will reach slowly only.

thermostat ensure correct operating temperature of engine.
Thermostat and automatic function of cooling fan is never dangerous to vehicle.

to ensure healthy engine and optimum performance engine shall have thermostat valve, cooling fans working on automatic, coolant in system and correct radiator cap.

the 2 fans in liana, as soon as you start aircon both fans function., Radiator fan goes high when triggered by thermocouple switch . it drop to slow when signal from thermocouple switch goes off.
Both fans run non stop when ac is ON.

Without a thermostat valve the engine will overcool and cause overfuelling too.

Do you have empirical evidence that the cooling system is actually faulty design in this engine?

I've heard about the issues regarding thermostat valve. Car gets overheated if the thermostat valve is faulty and its bit of a hustle to replace thermostat valve in Liana due to its position. You have plug out many things in order to reach at thermostat valve.

The intake manifold needs to be removed to access thermostat.
