My mother drives a Liana Eminent (Petrol). 3 years old 45K but no problems whatsoever. It seems like a cross between a city and a corolla. Have an XLi at home as well, but the eminent is the preferred choice. Excellent braking and performance. Furthermore, it is a solid car. Yes badge and shape (although city's shape isn't that great either) is a negative. Its ironic that once upon a time, Margalla was an icon which is also a Suzuki.
When buying Eminent there were 2 options in auto, Eminent or Vario. Made my pick. Secondly and most importantly for Karachites residing in DHA, no rust on Liana where as city rusts. Uncle sold his new one as it was rusting and bought a BNew Eminent as well. Not putting city down as before the Liana we had a city 2000 EX, which was preferred over a Baleno 1.6 GTi at the time of purchase.
I guess the Liana RXi & LXi are the ones which give trouble.
I was thinking of swapping it with another car as I like to change cars after 3-4 years but nothing seems worthwhile these days. Auto civic and corollas' are too pricey now. So for now am holding on to it for at least one year thus put in BNew Yokohamas. I put in slightly bigger wheels ignoring the recommended specs and she is actually looking good. And no the wheels aren't scrapping the manifold. 195/60 R15s
