I ask them to check voltage drops but they just check the battery voltages and give a verdict based on that. No one's checking voltages in a systematic way like you suggested even if I tell them to

Battery is not something really expensive. You have spent a lot on other stuff. Why don't you get a new battery installed? Even if it isn't solving your issue it's not a big investment, as a precautionary maintenance just replace it.

There are a lot of other issues with this car that will also make a dent in my savings. I just don't want to replace a battery before it's time and incur the extra cost at this point in time unless it's really the culprit.

Today, I also noticed while idling that all the lights go dimmer (very slight but noticeable) whenever the brakes are pressed. It seems that anything that puts even the tiniest bit of extra load on the car, it draws some power away from other electrical components.

Then go to any expert and get this sorted bro. So you don't face any problem on some road.

The conditions you are telling are 95% of the bad battery. Either some single cell damage. If not then for an instance change the battery with some friends car.
So you don't get a dent in your savings.
If you were in our City I would have resolved your issue.

Bro I'm looking at AC compressor repairs and brake caliper replacements. Even a piece of plastic costs minimum of 5k with genuine Honda parts, and these things will set me back at least 40-50k more.

I'm not saying that a battery is a lot. I just have a finite sum of money and I have to choose my poison based on the criticality level of each of the dozens of issues plaguing my car and work my way up gradually.

But you're very confident about this being a battery issue so I'm going to go ahead and get a new one. But before that, I might visit the electrician @capsat very kindly mentioned and have their opinion (thank you so much capsat)

No bro I am just helping you. I am just guiding you accordingly. It's not a rotten 60's car with alot of wiring or other troubles. It's a new car even if when alt wire has any troubles it sets a error on panel saying check charging system. But this type of issue is associated with the battery. If it was any electrical fault it would have been shown on your error screen.

Go to some daewoo battery authorized dealer. They have digital meter, and he will check and confirm your remaining battery health. If it's a battery then change it along with your mechanic.
